Dont you guys already have Norwood?

This may sound really stupid but why do you want McFadden? Im sure there are bigger needs at positions that you have absolutely NO talent at.

(not directed only to DJC, but also to anyone else saying they would like mcfadden in ATL)

Atlanta has a bigger need at RB than most people think. Norwood isn't a franchise back, nor even an every down back. Plus, someone like McFadden has the potential to change a franchise, ie Adrian and LT.

Cason and Nelson would fit in beautifully with the Giants but you might
have to reverse their order after the combine.

I'm doing another mock right now, and that's almost verbatim what I wrote for the Falcons taking McFadden.

I disagree with some of your picks, but as I always remind critiques of my own mocks:
Did anyone really think Brady Quinn would fall to #22?
Did anyone really think Mario Williams would be the #1 pick?
Surely the Vikings won't take Peterson when they already have Taylor and good backups...
No way the Eagles take Kevin Kolb there, right?

Exactly.

I think Arthur Blank will also be looking for another African American for the fans to get excited about.

I'm really hoping we end up with McFadden on draft day.

I don't know about the racial aspect of it but I'm not naive enough to say it's unfounded. I think it has more to do with star power, the way that the Saints did with Reggie Bush even though they already had Deuce and Stecker. That he's black certainly won't hurt in ATL though. I also think Blank will be sold on McFadden as a solid citizen and a good person who surrounds himself with good people.

I would like to add an update to the second round.

Seattle drafts Fred Davis TE from USC not the WR.

There is no way Seattle would pass him up considering there is a definite need for a TE who can play right now.

The only players that have any chance of being picked at 3 if Atlanta is picking is Dorsey, Long and McFadden. If we don't pick one of them at three, we're trading the pick. There's no QB worth even a first round pick in this draft IMO.

McFadden is a potential franchise saving player. Of course Atlanta doesn't have the 3rd pick yet.

Cowboys will select a CB before RB/WR. Need is higher. Talib or Smith. And they will take a small RB and a big WR
