McFadden will drop to the texans

Post#1 » by bigballajohn » Mon Jan 7, 2008 7:46 pm

If other teams were in the top 5, mcfadden would be picked faster but I dont expect mcfadden to be in the top 5 since most of the teams have a very stable running back(s) or they have more important needs
dolphins- brown
rams- jackson
falcons- dunn, norwood
oakland- fargas, rhodes, jordan
chiefs- johnson, smith
jets- jones, washington
patriots- maroney, faulk
ravens- mcgahee, smith
bengals- johnson
saints- bush, mcallister, thomas, stecker
bills- lynch
broncos- henry, young
panthers-williams, foster
bears- benson, peterson
lions- bell, jones, duckett
cardinals- james
vikings- peterson, taylor

the earliest i could c him being taken would be 3 cuz the falcons have backs, but dunn is gettin old. otherwise, i could c him taken is by the texans cuz they had ok backs, but not any that would be long term solutions like the top 17 teams have. in any other draft, mcfadden is a top 5 pick. the texans will get the biggest steal by gettin mcfadden

i highly doubt that...it would be great of he falls to us, but he wont, i see us taking a LT or a CB with our first round pick.

Patriots need a RB or a team that needs a RB will trade with the Patriots to get him.

He will drop to the Texans if they trade up enough to get him.

Shanahan would never let a talent like McFadden fall past the Broncos, no matter the needs that we have. I doubt he falls past 7.

Barring a trade-up scenario I don't see it.

McFadden will be a Raider because Fargas is a free agent and Lamont Jordon is going to be released. Al Davis will not pass up a super talent like McFadden.

yeah, if we trade down, cause they would be reaches with the 18th pick.

i dont think it would be a reach. both are underclassmen with great talent. there are teams behind Houston, such as the Seahawks, Packers, and even the Cowboys who might want to bring in one of those running backs. Or if you wanna wait till the 2nd round im sure that Jamaal Charles or some other decent RB will be available.

dolphins- brown (Brown just had a serious knee injury. Fins could take McFadden but probably will not b/c they need help elsewhere)
rams- jackson (Won't take McFadden)
falcons- dunn, norwood (Dunn is done -- sorry for the pun. Norwood is nowhere near a franchise player. This is McFadden's most likely destination)
oakland- fargas, rhodes, jordan (If McFadden somehow gets past Atl, then Oak will pick him up. Fargas had a nice year, but he's really better suited in a 2 back system, whereas McFadden can be a dominant back)
chiefs- johnson, smith (LJ looked slow and was hurt. Chiefs have more pressing needs but McFadden isn't a bad pick for them)
jets- jones, washington (Jones and Washington suck. Don't know why you think they'd pass on McFadden)
patriots- maroney, faulk (Trade down probably)
ravens- mcgahee, smith (Will address QB situation probably)
bengals- johnson (Johnson was outed by Kenny Watson. Of course they'd pick McFadden if he were available)
saints- bush, mcallister, thomas, stecker (Won't pick McFadden)
bills- lynch (Won't pick McFadden)
broncos- henry, young (Won't pick McFadden. I don't think the rat would pick a rb in the 1st round)
panthers-williams, foster (Williams is a bust. Only reason to not pick McFadden is if they feel gun shy about another 1st round back)
bears- benson, peterson (Will pick him if available)
lions- bell, jones, duckett (Will pick him if available)
cardinals- james (Will pick him if available)
vikings- peterson, taylor(Won't pick McFadden)

So out of those teams ahead of the Texans, they need 9 teams that need a franchise RB to pass on a guy that's dominated the SEC the last two years on a team with no passing game. :noway:

No way McFadden slides. See comments above.
