Biggest potential steal?

Who, if they drop, could be the biggest steal in the 2008 draft. For me Mario Manningham is looking like a guy who may drop.

to early to say, but one guy to keep an eye on is allan patrick assuming he gets picked after his projected round

I'm a big fan of a couple of linebackers that could wind up going the 3rd round or lower, Jerod Mayo and Vince Hall. I think Greg Carr could end up being a major steal. Eric Young is a very good guard that should start for some team next season. Martellus Bennett has got first round tools but will probably fall to the late second or into the second day.

If Glenn Dorsey falls to the second round he'd be a huge steal.

I can't predict who will be the biggest steal, but Thomas Brown is getting overlooked because of his injury history. He has plenty of speed and is pound-for-pound one of the strongest players in football. A real homerun threat with nice hands and a very good blocker for a back. He can be a big contributor on special teams right away.

I really hope he can stay healthy because injuries cost him a lot of games and national exposure in college.

Also keep your eye out for Brandon Coutu. I don't know if anyone saw his kicks during the Sugar Bowl, but they would have been good from about 70. With a sore hammy.

Thomas Brown is a good call--he's a 5th-6th rounder in all likelihood but if he had stayed healthy he probably would be a 2nd-3rd. Of course part of the reason he'll fall is his injuries.

Two guys who started high, then saw their stock decline for various reasons, that I still like:
Limas Sweed, WR, Texas, though he might not fall below #15
John Carlson, TE, Notre Dame--I still think he's the best TE in this draft but he's probably going to pay for being on such an awful team

Glenn Dorsey? The LSU NT? He is a top 10 pick minimum.

Calais Campbell, I feel he can be a good pro but because of this bad season he has fallen. Funny Chris Long had one good season(this one) and he goes from 1st-2nd round pick to top 3 pick.

Rashard Mendenhall. He is expected to be a late 1st round pick but if anyone saw the Rose Bowl you would know this kid is a stud.
Also, if Darren McFadden does drop to the Texans (Which he won't) that would be a pretty big steal.

He's the #2 RB on someone's big board, I forget who.

He's interesting because he's basically the same kind of player as Desean Jackson, except a much more polished WR and a little bigger. He only had one year where he did anything though, and he's never thrown a block in his life. But I bet he goes a full round after Jackson if Jackson declares, which could happen this afternoon.
