Picks I like:

Jake Long for the Chiefs. I love Ellis for the Bengals and Talib for the Lions. Definitely like Connor for the Chargers, Hardy for the Niners and all three picks from 19-21. Also like Kenny Phillips in Houston.

Picks I don't like:

Davis to Green Bay. Manningham to Dallas is way too high for him. I think Woodson is way too raw to be a franchise QB. Why does Arizona need Jonathan Stewart? And DeSean Jackson to Buffalo would be an awful pick for the Bills, but a fellow poster here also predicted that one so I guess I have to back off my comments about how it could never happen.

If the drafted worked out that way I would pray the Jets trade down instead of taking Gholston. While I do like him as a prospect, sixth overall for me is just to much.

I just can't see Atlanta passing on McFadden. He says it's a no brainer but I disagree fully. Ryan is solid, I hate the idea of taking him at 3.

Selecting Matt Ryan over McFadden would probably be the last straw for the franchise.

Bad pick for Atlanta, I dont think they pass up on McFadden.

I dont think NE takes Jenkins when they can just pay Samuel the money and keep him, they wouldnt pay both.

I like the Gholston to NYJ with their need of a pass rusher. It might not be the best value right now, but I think he'll continue to rise.

New Orleans wouldnt pass up on Connor or Rivers for Balmer. Maybe for Ellis, but with the huge need at LB and much better value sitting there they cant pass up on one of those guys. I would even prefer McKelvin over Balmer here.

Dont like Desean to the Bills. I think they could take a WR, but it'd be more like a Kelly or Sweed. But I think they go in a different direction and draft for their defense in round 1. Maybe someone like Connor or Ellis if he falls.

I could see Stewart going to Arizona. I've been seeing rumors of Edge possibly being traded. They could go for a CB too.

Baker pick isnt bad but Id rather see a WR taken there for Tampa.

This has shaped up to be one of the (seemingly) deepest running back classes in years. Unless you're sitting there at #8 or #9 and have a real need at the position, I wouldn't touch McFadden. Take another top 10 talent at a position of need and go with a guy like Mendenhall, Jones, Charles, etc. in the 2nd. Even if you have to deal up and get back into the first it's still worth it.

RB's a overrated position anyway. unless he's a HOF, if you don't have a good line, you usually don't have a good rb...

Pretty ugly first attempt. Overvalues a lot of players and has a lot more offensive players going in the 1st than there probably will be.

Who the hell is Kentwan Balmer and why is he 10th overall? And DeSean Jackson 11th? Yeah f**king right.

If Jonathan Stewart goes to Arizona I will be pissed. That's a terrible organization and a poor fit.

I dont care if he runs a 4.1 in his 40, sixth overall is to early. Second well thats just laughable. Now dont get me wrong, I do like him a lot but just not there at all. We need to many things on offense and defense, trading down to lets say with the Cowboys would fill a lot of wholes for us.

Also there is a lot of talks that the Cardinals are going to cut James, so a running back would be needed. They have been improving there offensive line and the coaches they brought in last year make me believe that they can succeed with that.

You have absolutely no idea if that will be the case or not.

Every year you see mock drafts around this time of year that end up looking ridiculous by the time the draft rolls around. Big names will fall, relative no-names will rise.

McShay may end up looking prophetic. Nobody knows at this point.

Oh, let me have my fun. My big sticking point, however, is the abnormally high number of offensive players. There always will be some, but I hesitate to see three quarterbacks and about six WRs in the first round.

Clady IMO is a borderline top-10 draft choice, as is Stewart.

i just hope the jerry doesnt go crazy and sell all his chips to get dmac, if i had it my way id take a CB 1st and trade my 2nd 1st rounder in hopes of a future 1st and then take a RB. then get a WR or OL whichever ranks higher on your board and also try and find a safety in the draft.

id say the ultimate goal is to acquire more picks

Ironically Phillips is the clear number 1 choice for all the vikings rubes and Kelly is the second. After being burned lately drafting DE's in the mid/late 1st (James/Udeze) Minnesota is content with our young depth (robison/Edwards) and signing a vet DE this offseason.

Minnesota "supposedly" flipped a coin on landry and Peterson last year. We really want an athletic safety.

Kenny Phillips is the most overvalued prospect in this draft, and that's because this is the worst safety class in the history of the draft. He's a decent player, but put him up against some of the recent 1st-2nd round safeties and he's not in their caliber, not at this point anyways.
