Hot off the press Mock Draft

1. Miami Dolphins- DE Chris Long Virginia

Parcells switching to 3-4, Ties to AL Groh, Football pedigree, and leader. Chris Long WILL BE A .............MIAMI DOLPHIN.

2. St. Louis Rams- DE/OLB Vernon Gholston Ohio State

Another team with whispers on wanting to change to a 3-4. Haslett has gone on the record stating they would love to play 3-4 all the time but dont have the players. Gholston would fit in as an OLB or end. Either way he is a better fit then Dorsey at this point.

3. Oakland Raiders- DT Glenn Dorsey LSU

This team needs impact players on defense and why not go back to LSU for another stud.

4. Atlanta Falcons- RB Darren McFadden Arkansas

Blank needs someone to fill up the seats and McFadden is a big name to help do that.

5. Kansas City Cheifs- OT Jake Long Michigan

Obvious pick here as they are in desperate need for offensive lineman.

6. New York Jets- S Kenny Phillips Miami

Nothing of real value at this point for the Jets so they take the best safety on the board.

7. New England Patriots- DE/OLB Derrick Harvey Florida

The Patriots will never spend a 1st round pick on a corner and this may be a bit early to jump on Harvey but I think this is a player they target. He fits perfect into there 3-4 scheme as an OLB and they must get younger and more athletic at that spot. Look for them to trade out of this spot and pick up more players later in the draft or future picks.

8. Baltimore Ravens- QB Matt Ryan Boston College

Not sure if Ryan makes it to the Ravens as there may be a team willing to trade with the Pats in order to secure before he falls here but non the less he is a top 10 pick and he will be gone. Look out for the Carolina Panthers trying to trade up for Ryan.

9. Cincinatti Bengals- DT Sedrick Ellis USC

Great prospect and perfect fit for a team starving for defense.

10. New Orleans Saints- CB Michael Jenkins South Florida

They need someone to come in and help out that secondary

11. Buffalo Bills- WR Limas Sweed Texas

Team sorely needs to get a physical wide receiver in the redzone and Sweed is the best in this draft other then Malcolm Kelly.

12. Denver Broncos- DT Kentwan Balmer North Carolina

They probably have the worst defensive tackle rotation in the NFL so it's obvious to say they may even trade up for Ellis but if Balmer is the last one left they must address this need.

13. Carolina Panthers- QB Brian Brohm Louisville

Team can not risk not having a suitable QB to come in if Delhomme can not fully recover. Brohm is a great pick for them.

14. Chicago Bears- OT Ryan Clady Boise State

Say good bye to the trash they have in Fred Miller.

15. Detroit Lions- OT Jeff Otah Pittsburgh

RT was a revolving door for the Lions even moving Damien Woody to play there who is a natural center. Otah will solve this problem and help give Kitna some protection.

16. Arizona Cardinals- DE Calais Campbell Miami

Cards want to change over to a 3-4 and there current ends are rather small so Campbell would be a nice fit.

17. Minnesota Vikings- WR DeSean Jackson Cal

Vikings need an explosive playermaker at wideout and Jackson is the best availible at this point.

18. Houston Texans- RB Rashard Mendenhall Illinois

This pick could be Stewart,Jones, etc etc but I am pretty sure they will grab a franchise runner.

19. Philadelphia Eagles- OLB Keith Rivers USC

Spikes went down to injury and they where left with very little depth. Great value in this spot of the draft as he could go top 10.

20. Tampa Bay Bucs- QB Andre Woodson Kentucky

Gruden is always looking for a QB and Woodson would make for a nice project player to groom behind Garcia.

21. Washington Redskins- DE Phillip Merling Clemson

There always looking for pass rush help and Merling is a nice fit here.

22. Dallas Cowboys- RB Felix Jones Arkansas

Jones loves his Arkansas kids and Felix would make for a nice replacement for Julius.

23. Pittsburgh Steelers- FS Reggie Smith Oklahoma

Take the best free safety on the board after the Anthony Smith fiasco

24. Tennessee Titans- WR Malcolm Kelly Oklahoma

Titans need a playmaker on offense to help out Young.

25. Seattle Seahawks- RB Johnthan Stewart Oregan

Absolute beast and total steal here at this spot.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars- CB Leodis McKlevin Troy

Could use another standout corner especially with having to face the Colts and Pats on a regular basis.

27. Dallas Cowboys- CB Aquib Talib Kansas

Quality corner and great value at this point.

28. San Francisco- WR Mario Manningham Michigan

Mike Martz will want weapons and he will get one in this spot.

29. San Diego Chargers- RT Gosder Cherilus Boston College

Perfect RT for them and adds quality depth.

30. Green Bay Packers- CB Charles Godfrey Iowa

Big physical corner they like.

31. N.Y. Giants- OLB Dan Connor Penn State

1st round steal for the Giants in this spot and will add quality depth.

32. Patriots forfeit pick

Quick 5 for the second round

33. Miami Dolphins- TE John Carlson Notre Dame

Sparano and Parcells need a tight end in order to run there offense and Carlson is big at 6'6 but athletic enough to do damage down field much like Witten. Almost certain that Parcells will trade this pick since this is a deep TE draft and can get one later in the second round. Cant never count out an ILB like Lofton or Mayo to replace Zach Thomas as there 1st pick in the second round. I like Carlson because he fits into the Bavaro,Fasano type of TE that Parcells loves.

34. St. Louis Rams- OT Chris Williams Vanderbilt

Just the versatile lineman they have been looking for.

35. Atlanta Falcons- OT Sam Baker USC

Good fit here to a team that needs offensive lineman.

36. Kansas City Cheifs- WR Early Doucet LSU

They hit a homerun with Bowe but the other side of the offense was empty. Why not team up the college tandem once again.

37. New York Jets- DE/OLB Quentin Groves Auburn

The pass rush end they are looking for.

We arent changing our defense. For everyone: Witherspoon is better at MLB he has been a beast there. Carriker is over 315 lbs he was very solid at DT.

Linehan has said so many times we are not switching to a 3-4 defense.

Not a bad pick in Gholston, the next Ware.

I don't think Dallas would pick Felix. They need WR and CB. If not picked by the 22nd pick, I think the Cowboys would go with Malcolm Kelly WR from Oklahoma or the CB from Kansas.

Defense Creating Confusion

In the recent history of the Rams, they have been known league-wide as an offensive force with defense as an afterthought. But in the past three weeks and gradually over the course of this season, the perception that the Rams play no

I really like Vernon Gholston for you guys because he can play both ways as either a down lineman in the 4-3 and also serve as a hybrid OLB in the 3-4. Seems to be a perfect fit for you guys since you guys play both schemes. Dorsey really wouldnt be flexible enough to play in this type of system especially since you already have Clifton Ryan and Adam Carriker at Tackle.

I like it. Mainly cause we are taking McFadden in it and not Ryan.

Haslett never directly said he wanted to switch, its all media stuff with an I don't know from Haslett.

Linehan wants to keep the 4-3....

Id love to get Phillips on the Jets, but Ill be damned if at the sixth pick. We would trade down if Gholston, Chris Long, Dorsey and McFadden are not there. At least Id hope...

If the Seahawks can get Stewart at their pick, I'd be happy.

I like it. Someone finally realizes Fred Miller sucks more than Rex Grossman.

Manhattan I understand about the Jets taking Phillips too early at #6 but then again Landry was taken early last year. I basically took him based on value need for the Jets and right now they have a major need at safety and Kenny Phillips is the best in this draft. I do agree that they definetely will try to move down and grab Phillips but then again maybe they pick him thinking the Pats are ready to jump on him. They do need secondary help and they could always move Meriweather to corner.

I am a U fan, really there are my favorite college team. However Phillips is no where the level of Taylor or Reed the previous safeties from the U. Landry is a far better prospect then Phillips ever was and probably will. Though I do love him...

landry wasnt taken early, he was a top 10 pick any way you look at it

They would do better to ensure the CB early, but in this draft they get talib. There are tons of quality RBs in this draft,a nd the next RB to dal is a change up to Barber.
