I'm all for going after him...he cant be any worse than Sean Henn. He has high walk numbers though....I dunno someone is going to take a chance on him

Hopefully not the Yankees. He sucks and he costs too much. Britton is a cheaper and a better option.

Seriously, where the hell is Britton? Sure, he's a little portly but so is Bobby Jenks. He's pitched 5 innings up here this year. He's only allowed 1 hit. Sure that one hit was a home run but regardless, he should be up here. In 53 innings last year for Baltimore he only walked 17 while striking out 41. I'm not saying have him set up, just bring him up and use him in situations like last night when we used Edwar or Henn. He has been dominating AAA because he worked a lot on his secondary pitches. He deserves a shot here and we could really use him. He is on the 40 man. I just don't get why he isn't up here. -Jitpal

He's worth a shot, but we probably won't fall to us.

Wickman was released because he was a big jerk in the Braves clubhouse and always complained of pitching in non saving type games.

Some poster on another Met forum said Wickman was a jerk when he was a Yankee as well. Don't know if it's true.

He had a 3.92 era in the NL, I guess it'd be more in the AL.
LOL Y U MAD THO?

I liked this quote from another board:

Wickman's a fun pitcher to watch. He just looks like someone's mid-age dad out there grimacing and struggling for breath between each pitch.
