A bit surprised to see him rank Mendenhall ahead of McFadden....it's still early....but still surprised.

Just looking at his choices he seems to be a big ten supporter. Some examples being the before mentioned Mendenhall, Henne over Brohm, Manningham over well a lot of people.

He also seemed like another person that thinks Philips is overrated and Sam Baker isn't in his top OTs. Interesting.

Wow. You can find something to dispute on that entire list.

Mendenhall over McFadden.
Henne over Brohm.
Merling over Harvey.
DeSean Jackson in the top 5.
LeTroy Guion over DeMario Pressly.
Martellus Bennett out of the top 5.
(can't comment on the ILBs)
Gooden over Highsmith.
Sam Baker out of the top 5.
McKelvin over Jenkins.
Rachal over Schuening.
Morgan over Phillips.

I'll admit, I'd love to hear some of the justifications for these.

This looks more like what I've seen in the GMs office than anyone else's. One thing that Mayock values more than a lot of other people is football IQ, and those ratings certainly reflect that, esp. the defensive ones.

I'm not real surprised McFadden isn't the #1 RB, but I am surprised it's not Stewart ahead of him. I posted the comment right after the Arkansas-LSU game that I watched the game with another NFL scout and we both agreed that as inspiring as McFadden was, they did so much to tailor the offense to help him and we liked him less than we thought we would.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Mayock's one of the draft minds I always respect when the spring rolls around. Very interesting stuff.

I watched some post-college All-Star challenge this weekend to get a look at a lot of the prospects without the pads, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a more physically impressive runningback than Mendenhall. That guy would look big for a linebacker.

Woooow.

I hope teams picking in the top 20 read this as the Skins pick at 21.

He sounds like he knows what he's talking about. I would love to see Mendenhall go into the league and do well.

Like I said all along, Mendenhall is the best back in this draft.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

Mike Mayock definatley knows what he's talking about which is more than I can say for guys like Todd McShay and some of the other guys who just regurgitate what guys like Mayock say.

But I digress did anyone see Mayock's piece on Brandon Flowers-CB V.Tech.

Mayock called him the most physical corner he's seen in 5 years called him a top 10 pick. And from what I seen Flowers looks like Antoine Winfield but a bigger playmaker and more athletic.
