Senior all-star games and the NFL scouting combine are in the books, which means player rankings should not change much between now and April's draft. Team needs, on the other hand, will fluctuate as a result of free agency movement. With that in mind, we take another look at how the first round of the 2008 draft could shake out.

I like the pick for Atlanta. I don't like his explanation of Ryan being the pick if he is available.

I love Green Bay's pick, Cromartie is fastly rising so hopefully no team before our pick takes him. Cromartie would be a great pick who can make some impact this year and learn from 2 of the best corner's in the league, and when he has to take over he'll be ready cause of that.

I'm very high on Sedrick Ellis, but I worry that Cincy would not follow through on drafting him if he was on the board. The coaches are bent on establishing a 3-4 defense and Ellis is a 4-3 DT all the way.

They shouldnt be worried about that right now. All they need to is get the VERY best defensive player available, and if it turns out that Ellis is still on the board, then **** getting a guy that fits into your 'system'..

you don't have a system if you have shi*tty players (like the Bengals currently do on their defense)

Agreed. It'd be the greatest problem to have, outside of the head-banging cap ramifications that come with NFL rookie deals. Four solid DTs who could all be starting-caliber...sign me the f**k up.

Of course, there is still a huge hole where linebackers need to go.

well, bengals signed odom today. i'm pretty sure they are staying 4-3.
