As always, this does not necessarily reflect what I would do, but rather what I believe is going to happen. There is reasoning behind some of the stranger picks (Ryan at #7, Morgan at #28, Brohm at #37). I'll just say that I'd rather swing and miss early on these than get on those bandwagons a month from now. Plus I kinda want to see any ripple effects from other mock draft creators at some more prominent sites that I know blatantly hijack my work

Somehow Xavier Adibi got lost in the cut and paste process; I'll edit him back in somewhere (Colts in Round 2?) ASAP.

1. The Seahawks have made some pretty questionable picks in the past (Chris Spencer at 26 a few years back comes to mind), and the Dustin Keller selection seems to mirror that. Given the Seahawks' problems at WR, TE, OL and DL, would they be best suited to trade down to the second round and still get their guy?

2. Is it just me, or is Derrick Harvey slated to have an interesting draft day? His draft ceiling appears to be No. 9 overall, and he could potentially slip pretty far if, say, Carolina goes with Otah, Chicago drafts Mendenhall, etc., dominoes start to fall.

3. Jeff, would you consider doing a 7-round, 255-pick mock draft closer to Draft Day? I think that'd be a great addition to the site.

4. What's Dan Connor's draft status look like? We've thrown around his name as high as seventh overall to the Patriots, and his current status has him on the first-round borderline, which to me seems a little low given the overall dearth of good MLBs around the league.

5. Jamaal Charles to the Bengals? Really? I mean, I know the Bengals are on an endless search for depth at RB, but Charles isn't solving the problem in the least. The Bengals need a new feature back to challenge Rudi for some carries.

Some pretty interesting picks. I love the Saints pick if he falls to #10. I have a few questions about some. First with Mendenhall, I thought he was shooting up draft boards more than anybody since the combine. Would the Panthers, Bears, and Lions all pass on him when they all need a RB? None of those teams have fallen in love with him?

Also, regarding Malcom Kelly, is his knee injuries not as serious as what has been recently reported? From what Ive heard, both his knees are nearly done. Mayock or someone said teams are completely dropping him from their draft boards.

Do you really hate Kenny Phillips that much? You think he'll fall to the #3 safety and fall to the 2nd? Also, have you seen the pics of the Cowboys DB draft board that supposedly accidently got out in some video clip, and do you know if those are accurate at all?

I love the Laws pick in the 2nd, but did you mean to give the Bucs another DT in the 3rd with Harrison? D-Line isnt that big of a need since we resigned Carter for depth and made some other solid signings.

Also, wheres Ray Rice? He had a solid combine and I think he would be ahead of Choice and Forte atleast.

I like the mock, lots of interesting picks.

The only concern I have is that no WRs taken in the first three rounds for the Bears? Is that something you heard or something you're assuming might happen? I don't know how confident I am in the WR corps we have right now.

I know im not Iceness, but Ive heard some stuff on some of these questions. He can probably give you a more indepth answer though.

Harvey wont fall pass the Bucs at #20 if Jenkins is gone. Kiffin has come out and said how much he likes Harvey and that you can never have too many pass rushing DEs. Adams+Harvey would be pretty sick if I must say so myself.

Ive seen Connor go mostly in the 2nd round in mocks. I dont think he would fall past the Saints in the 2nd at the very worst. His stock is also hurt some by the rising stocks of Lofton and Mayo.

Comp picks are scheduled to come out Monday I believe.

Yeah, I don't see how the Vikings can get through through day 1 without address the gaping hole(s) at DE.

I 3rd the vikings concern. Also, from what I hear we are not as concerned with corner unless a value pick drops there. When we had problems in the secondary last year it was due to

1.) Smith getting beat (replaced by Williams and Boulware)
2.) Winfield being injuried (and he is fine now)
3.) No form of a pass rush (hence our desire for DE--even more so with Udeze down)

So I know you are not a CC fan, but I am sure the vikings will invest one of the top picks in a DE. The 2nd rd is BPA or a trade(sage?) I would put money right now that Merling is the guy they want.

I also hear that the vikings like Trevor laws (DT ND) in the second rd as depth/replacement for the williams wall.

An argument can be made also that if Baker is available in the second we grab him with the uncertain McKinney situation.

In general, why do you see Woodson falling out of day 1?

I will try to do a complete 7round draft. Indoor vball season is over after tonight so I'll have more time. I'll tell you right now the last 2 rounds would likely just be names next to teams though.

Re: the Vikings...
1st round they are going to take the BPA on defense, even if it's a DT. In this scenario that player is DRC. It could also be Derrick Harvey. They are extremely apprehensive about taking yet another DE 1st round. They also believe (and I agree) that Brian Robison is going to blossom into an above-average rush end.

Dan Connor had a fantastic pro day--ran in the low 4.6s and impressed in the shuttle and cone drills too. His times in those are almost identical to Jon Beason's last year but Connor is 2" taller and has ~30 pounds on him. If he sticks to ILB he's in the top 2 in every measurable and thrived in the Big Ten for multiple years. Move to OLB (where I believe he belongs) and he's in the top 5 or 6 in every measurable and has proven instincts and finishing ability. I think he raised his ceiling up to about 18 and his floor is certainly no lower than the Saints in round 2.

Re: Bears WR--I had several different ones in their later slots, in fact had Early Doucet in the 2nd up until the final edit. If they deal up to get Ryan--they're not the most likely to do so but it's not out of the question--then the Booty pick almost certainly becomes Jerome Simpson or Jordy Nelson. I know they like Dexter Jackson of App State a lot--he'd be the 4th rounder in this scenario.

The TB DT overlaod resulted as part of the missing Adibi problem. The updated version will be posted sometime this afternoon. It also impacts the Vikings, Colts, Eagles, and Pats picks in the later portion.

Cliff Levingston likes that you don't have us taking a WR in the first 3 rounds. What good will a WR do when we don't have a good QB to throw to him and don't have a good line to block for the QB? We've got much more important concerns than WR.

Cliff Levingston likes the draft for the Bears. We get a big T in Otah to place on either side of the line (depending on where we want Tait), a good RB prospect to possibly take over for Benson and a big program QB who's got some potential. The DT in round 3 isn't an immediate need but does seems like an Angelo type move.

Nice mock. But i tend to disagree with your miami picks.If we dont take Ryan in the First round then i dont see us looking till maybe 3rd round. 2round i see us looking for a Tackle and with acouple on the board i see us moving in that direction.

Replacing Smith with Boulware is kind of like replacing Bobby Ayala with Heathcliff Slocumb as your bullpen closer. Good luck with that.

No way the Jets draft a QB with one of their only 2 day one picks, makes no sense what so ever. The Jets would take one of the DBs (Antoine Cason, Porter, King) or Caldwell.

The fixed version should be up any time now. Primarily impacts TB and IND.

Friendly reminder--I'm picking player and slot in several cases, not necessarily the team. If it seems bizarre, you can perhaps assume that's the case. I expect a great deal of trade movement in the 22-40 range.

Finally you stopped with the Matt Ryan stuff. I can live with that draft.

Only because they picked up that extra 2nd. Now they have the flexibility to do whatever they want to get whomever they want. It wouldn't shock me if they are one of the teams trading up to get back into the Ryan business, just like the Browns did last year with Brady Quinn--they like him a lot but like somebody else more at #3. I could see them sending two 2nds and next years 1st to the Pats for Ryan at #7.

So you haven't been hearing anything from teams about Kelly's injuries?
