No way Jets draft a QB. Chris Johnson is a waste of a pick in the 2nd round. RB isn't a need but obviously McFadden is a top talent you can't pass on, Johnson isn't. Both players wouldn't help us this year either. Based on your picks I'd rather go McKelvin and Hardy/Kelly.

Wow. Mendenhall really fell in your mock. Do the Cowboys pass on him just because Felix Jones is from Arkansas or because they really feel he is better than Mendenhall? Or simply because he fits the system better?

I have a question sir. If the vikings are drafting BPA focused on depth and you said there is no TE worth drafting in the first 3 rounds. Why is MN grabbing local kid Carlson in the second?

They do not share my opinion. I would modify my bold claim to just the top 2 rounds--I wouldn't touch any of the TEs in the first 63 picks. But I bet at least 2 and perhaps as many as 4 go in that range.

Just in general I'll re-emphasize this point:

Do not think that what I predict in this mock is what I would do in the same situation. This is what I believe is going to actually happen, based on information from all over the place--some firsthand, some secondhand, some educated guesswork, some just shots in the dark.

Just as a couple of examples:
I would take Rashard Mendenhall at #7 if I'm New England
I wouldn't take Desean Jackson, Ray Rice, or Chilo Rachal in the first 3 rounds
I wouldn't take Jeff Otah before the middle of the 2nd round

What happened? Was Campbell asked that "when was the last time you cheated on your girlfriend" question? And was his answer something like "last night, in the Port Authority men's room"?

I picked this up because you mentioned, while discussing the #25 overall pick, the idea of Seattle acquiring #68. So I looked around to see who was still there, going in the next several picks. If Campbell is there at #68 I can't imagine the Seahawks passing on him.

He's not a TE, he's a large WR in the mold of Marques Colston. I think he'd have been a early second round pick.

I will just ask my question here. With everyone moving up to take linemen, do the Steelers wait and take the offensive lineman in a later round and get the best available, someone is going to slip? or do they pick a lower rated/projected offensive lineman?

It could go either way IMO.

Wow, Pittsburgh goes against the grain and takes Mendenhall. I had a feeling someone was going to drop to us with all of the lineman taken prior to this pick. We can address the O line in the later rounds.

Still no receiver taken.

I was giving quick looks to others this morning and it looks like I did better than a lot of the more highly compensated folks. And there were some complete whiffs on my part too, but I'm happy with it overall
