As it says in the piece, after Crabtree the evaluations are going to vary widely from team to team based on need and fit. Nicks might be #2 on on team's board and #9 on another, same with Williams. As it also says in the piece, this is based like 90% on ability at WR, not at KR/PR or out of the backfield. That value is factored more in their draft forecast.

As many as 60 WRs could conceivably get drafted this year, so not every guy made this list. If you have a specific question about someone not listed I'll try to answer it. I'm doing CBs next and that list is already up to 27 guys, so be patient please. His review of Britt is comical.

Indifferent blocker? Are you kidding me? Seriously? Watch some Ray Rice highlights at Rutgers. I'll give you a hint in advance ... he's not running to Underwood, or Brown's side. He's going behind Britt.

Chippy? Overconfident? ... Seriously? Is this a joke? The kid is humble. While most receivers come with "swag" whether they're the best on the team, or just a 4th or 5th WR, Britt is actually someone who doesn't seem to like to show their greatness. Aside from jumping TD celebrations with Underwood, after handing the ball off to the ref, he's far from being overconfident. He's just good.

As for the comparison to Owens ... for what? Being big and strong? Outside of that, I don't see one similarity in their game, and thats after watching Kenny play for the past 3 years.

But, it is what it is. A Big East WR, that most people have never seen, and barely heard about.

the write up on patrick turner and USC wide receivers is good. and thats the bulk of it, our system is dominating in the collegiate game because we go with the big receivers. and in the college game, a passing game that stacks the 6-5 types at that position, have a clearcut advantage. penn state for example was overpowered, outsized and overmatched in their secondary. it however does not have matching qualities in the league, due to the sheer speed of dbs and even size of some safeties out there, which does not give them the comfortable advantage they enjoy in college. almost like having an excellent spread option QBs in the NCAA, only to have a guy like tebow signed up as a surefire tight end in the next level. our quality "short" receivers however, have excelled though. steve smith with the giants for example. his speed and cutting ability translates and was a key component in the giants title run last year.

with that said, i say that patrick turner, however low he goes, will surprise folks. he may turn out to be a very good receiver at the next level. its just that when we had a guy like mike williams, guys were literally bouncing off of him on his way to the endzone. that doesnt happen though in league.

Re: Britt--
Did y'all watch the UNC game or the Navy game? I saw a guy who went at about 75% effort on several plays. In the UNC game he got up from every reception and jawed at the DB--it went both ways to be fair. I saw a blocker who is pretty good if he can engage the action but a guy who won't go out and charge after a target if he doesn't get the initial lockup. The Navy game is a good example--he threw a very nice edge seal block on the Brooks TD run, but on a 3rd and short the CB played inside technique and Britt never even tried to slide down to block him.

As far as the overconfidence, you can thank the scouting staff of the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings for the personality info. I've only met Britt once, in passing after the Louisville game in 2007. I rely fairly heavily on actual NFL scouts to help with the personality details that I don't personally know well.

I think people forget that TO was once considered a very good WR. Britt compares very much to him in terms of on-field play and that's not a bad thing. Take away the bizarre antics and TO would be considered one of the greats. I actually like Britt's game quite a bit, hence the high ranking. I thought he was the best player on the field in the Pitt and Louisville games. It's like he and Teel came together and decided to re-dedicate themselves to not wasting their final season in that Pitt game, and after that they were fantastic together.

I think that is a little harsh considering Icness has him ranked #2 and many people won't have him top 8.

Its one thing to have him ranked top 3, which is fine.

However, the negatives he put on him really aren't there though. Thats my issue.

I would rely more on the Falcons and Vikings scouting department that I would a guy who attended Rutgers and watched him play from the stands.

2008: Rutgers suspends Britt for Morgan State game for an undisclosed violation of team policy. Scouts have serious concerns regarding his maturity, work ethic and practice habits. Scouts who have interviewed him have described him to us as 'arrogant' and having 'an inflated opinion of his skills'.
