Berry as a CB?

Post#1 » by Piston Pete » Tue Mar 9, 2010 3:42 pm

Would Berry be the draft's highest rated CB?

Right now its Haden, but Berry is both bigger and faster than Haden. Could a team essentially draft Berry and play him at CB?

Berry could be great at corner too but him playing safety allows him to just let his instincts take him to the ball and make interceptions or hits. If he was a corner he wouldn't be able to roam around and make as many plays- so playing him at like a strong safety, a safety who plays near the box, would maximize his talents

Berry should be a roaming deep safety like Darren Sharper or Ed Reed.

That said, he'd be the best CB in this draft, and the tape of him at CB would make him the best CB in some time.

I wouldn't.

I mean, he could...but I think he'd be less special; at safety he's special. At corner, imo, he's decent to pretty good.

He was the top rated corner in the nation coming out of high school. I know that was three years ago but he has the speed and athleticism to be a great corner. I do like him as a playmaking free safety able to roam the entire field though.

I think hed be better than Haden. I dont really like the corners in this draft from a top 10 perspective. Think Berry is definitely the best DB in the group.
