Former Oklahoma wide receiver Josh Jarboe transferred to Troy on Wednesday.
Jarboe, a freshman, was released by coach Bob Stoops earlier this month after a cell phone video that contained expletives and violent references made its way to YouTube.

Re: Former Sooners receiver Jarboe transfers to Troy
Bob Stoopid at it again: Oklahoma has petitioned to the NCAA that Jarboe sit out a year, as he had enrolled in school but didn't play for the football team. Troy is currently fighting it, but the NCAA is more likely to listen to the school that somehow convinced them (for a while, anyway) that Rhett Bomar was putting in honest days' work.
I have no respect for the Oklahoma athletic department and precious little for the school itself. What a morally vapid place.
Jarboe would be too big of a risk for many, but he should do a great job at Troy, which is one of those upstart schools that has built up a reputation quickly and carefully and will greatly benefit from having a talented WR prospect come in. The coaching staff appears to motivate its charges enough to win that Jarboe's off-field issues (and they obviously exist) will be monitored, as they won't want to spoil the good thing they've got going in Alabama. I don't know that much about the program, but they've been steadily adding talent (Leodis McKelvin, anyone?) and upset victories and really working some magic.
