I don't think any serious SEC fans thought Tenn was a top 25 team.

David Cutcliffe saved Fulmer's job the last 2 years.

It is no coincidence that they are in troubled waters again.

This implies the existence of an offense, which is not present. South Carolina, in the Pac-10, would finish no higher than 7th. I don't see any way they beat Cal, Oregon State, even Arizona. UCLA is a crapshoot, but we saw what they did to a Tennessee team that most SEC fans still believe is top-25 caliber.

It's amazing how little defense matters on this forum. I'm 100x more afraid of a great defense with no offense than a great offense with no defense. South Carolina would be a stone cold lock for 4th in the Pac-1 at the very, very least. I would not be shocked if they were 2nd. But that's a pointless debate.

Your statement about SEC fans is completely wrong, though. Tennessee is by far and away the most ridiculed team in SEC country and it has been like that for a while now. They haven't won the SEC in 10 years or so. For whatever reason Tennessee will struggle against or lose to every team but Georgia the last two years. That's the only reason Fulmer still has a job IMO. If Tennessee wins in Athens this year I will never type anything positive about Georgia again.
