Not completely sure why the Badgers were dropped out of the AP poll. Pretty nice to see UNC get in after destroying UConn, and its great to see a school like Ball State get ranked for the first time ever.

I'm pulling for Mizzou the rest of the way out; they've got some tough games ahead of them though: vs. OK St. next week, then @ Texas the following, and a possible trap game vs. Colorado. I really hope they meet the Sooners in the Big 12 Championship, could be a great battle.

Does anybody really think Missouri is really a top three team in the country?

Really?

Well I can't see that they've done anything to NOT deserve to be #3. Although it is true that Chase Daniel is short.

Let's see how Mizzou does in the next two weeks against Oklahoma State and Texas. Will you stop complaining if Missouri wins those games?

Polls are just beauty contests this early in the season.

the sec bias is ridiculous. why is auburn ranked? they're the only 2 loss team in the poll as if they've beaten someone good or done anything remotely impressive. only 19 teams have a more impressive resume at this point? do these people collectively believe that or do they just think "hmm, sec team, we had them ranked high before, so 20 sounds about right despite their pathetic performance this year"?

auburn's wins are:
- home blowout of ull, currently tied for last in the sun belt and 1-4 overall.
- 2 td home win over southern miss, who is tied for last in the cusa east, 2-3 overall with both wins coming against sun belt teams.
- a 3-2 road triumph over miss state, who has zero d1a wins.
- a 14-12 home win over a bad tennessee team, and auburn only won that b/c tenn handed it to them.

auburn has lost twice, to lsu and vandy. neither is a terrible loss and both were pretty close.

none of auburn's wins have come against a team with a winning record. heck, none of auburn's victims has beaten a bcs conference team. why is auburn ranked?

Auburn is still in the beauty contest.

The polls are uneven this early in the year.

The only people that complain about the SEC seem to be Pac-10 fans.

It's a conference inferiority complex.

do you feel that auburn has played like the 20th best team in the country? that none of the 100 or so teams ranked behind them have better resumes at this point in the season? do you think that if, say, washington state had the same performance as auburn has this year that they'd be ranked #20 (or ranked at all)?

The top 10 seems about right. Although I think Vandy should be a little higher.

ahahaha, not really. in USCs case, its just been an ass whoopin. ask your boy RUN DMC and felix from arkansas . . . we laid the smackdown on those boys. or maybe cadillac and ronnie brown, another supposed outstanding SEC runningback tandem. so maybe you should say "some pac-10 fans" because weve only been deliverin the 70 and 50pt blowouts to those boys.

USC beat Auburn 24-17 at USC in a game that was tied 17 all in the 4th qtr.

USC beat Auburn 23-0 at Auburn. This Auburn team was a year away from their peak. USC's defense was dominant that game.

Auburn was ranked #1 in the preseason poll with ESPN and the Sporting News (hardly credible), and were not ranked in the AP (probation).

USC put up 50, 70 on Arkansas.....just a middle tier SEC team that advanced one year because of fall out among the powers.
