The passing game just wasn't together in week one. It's a shame because if they showed up the defense played well enough to take that game. If they could stop shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties (and forgetting to cover people) this season would become a lot more interesting.

But they did that all last year so I'm not going to hold my breath.

Lol, we do this at least once per year now, but is it really considered an upset when USC wets the bed at least once a year in this fashion? lolol.

Part of me wants to be pissed off at Oregon State's loss to Cincinnati, but in reality they just got outplayed. The Bearcats looked like they really should be a top 15...maybe even a top 10 team this year. They made every adjustment they needed to make and dominated on both sides. On the other hand, OSU showed that their defensive secondary is just not ready for prime time, their offensive line needs to bulk up and they urgently need to develop reliable offense that doesn't involve giving the ball to a Rodgers brother (nothing against James and Quizz, but when your offensive game plan involves only 2 guys, it's easy to get stopped).

The Beavs should still end up with a winning record this year, but they certainly have a long way to go before they contend for a conference title.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Cinci is playing great.

Their coach, B Kelly, is one of the best in NCAA.

Side note- QB Matt Grothe (USF) suffered a sprained knee last night. MRI is monday, but there are rumors circulating that Grothe has a torn MCL.

USF travels to FSU this week in a game of a dyslexic scoreboard...lol
