Suh is easily the best player out of these 5
Ingram will get it though.

Re: Official Heisman Trophy Thread
I'll go:
1. Suh
2. Tebow
3. Gerhart
Robbed: Kellen Moore. How can a quarterback on the #6 team in the country have what amounts to a perfect season and not get invited in a year where everyone's complaining that the offensive players are disappointing?
I imagine that people think I'm crazy for putting Tebow so high, and I'm guessing they're right. Thing is, this is a guy we know is capable of putting up huge numbers. He's running a depleted offense where he's the primary threat on passing and rushing and Florida's 3rd down conversion numbers are still way ahead of anyone else in the SEC. I can't jump off his bandwagon. Suh clearly deserves to be ahead of him, everyone else, not so sure.

Not loving anyone on offense, I'd go Suh and discard my other picks. I don't know how the media can call themselves "experts" and think any of these guys are playing better than Suh.

Re: Official Heisman Trophy Thread
Thought y'all might find this interesting. www.stiffarmtrophy.com grabs actual Heisman voter's published statements and projects winners from that. They've got 295 of the 926 official voters at this point.
Here's the projection:
M Ingram 44.3%
N Suh 41.0%
T Gerhart 40.6%
C McCoy 30.8%
T Tebow 9.6%
CJ Spiller 7.2%
The margin of error is bigger than the gap between the top 3.

Re: Official Heisman Trophy Thread
are there better runningbacks than ingram? without a doubt. toby for example. but are there better runningbacks than toby? sure. in other words, theres no clear cut answer as to theee #1 runningback. theres speculation and doubt.
how about quarterback, tebow, mccoy and others. tons of speculation and doubt as to thee man at quarterback around the country.
but there is no doubt about suh. thee number one defensive lineman. speed. power. dominating presence in the middle. there are some good ones around the country, but this guy can control the line of scrimmage with his play from beginning to end of a game. consistently.
with that said, colt mccoy will win it.

Re: Official Heisman Trophy Thread
Nah, McCoy's got not chance. He'll finish 4th, and the only reason it's such a strong 4th is that some people voted before last week's game.

Re: Official Heisman Trophy Thread
Stiffarm's final projection: http://www.stiffarmtrophy.com/2009/12/o ... e-one.html
-Ingram wins
-Suh gets most 1st place votes
I'm finding it irritating that appears Suh's going to lose because a lot of voters just don't think about defensive players in the Heisman. He's not going to lose this because of the guys who consider Ingram and Gerhart better, he's going to lose this because of the guys who didn't even really consider him.
