Oregon will win if the game has a Pac-10 officiating crew that's been paid off by Phil Knight.

A Rose Bowl victory for Oregon would be a huge win for the Pac-10 as well. The best part is, it looks like Ohio State is going to receive most of the media attention, which should put the Ducks at greater ease.

A lot of people see this as Oregon O vs. OSU D, but don't count out Oregon's defense. They made enough plays to slow down Oregon State and shift momentum during the Civil War, and really it's just been a continuation of this season's efforts. If they can force Pryor into a bad decision or two, this could be a game.

Everything I've ever seen from an Ohio State fan is that this game should be a cakewalk for them, which is enough fuel for my fire. We'll see if any Buckeye players believe that.

really? i am yet to hear the word cakewalk, not only Ohio St offense is equipped to blow out many teams but also Oregon is formidable enough to make things interesting. at the end OSU wins this as they match up well with Oregon and simply more talented, but it should be a game going into the 4th.

oh, consider this Pryor's coming out party a la Troy Smith against Notre Dame in 06.

I'm leaning towards Oregon because I'm not sure Ohio State will score enough to win. Oregon has seen QBs like Pryor before--in their own program no less--and they know how to handle him. The Ducks have some talent up front that can nullify the run, and OSU is worthless on 2nd & long or 3rd & long unless it's Pryor running or play action. I think it's going to be very low-scoring because Ohio State's defensive front 4 is the best in the nation and QBs can't run on them, period. Their secondary is good enough to stop Masoli's throwing. I don't trust the OSU special teams as much as Oregon's and I like that they will play to win and not to lose like Tressel will.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Sorry Buck fans, but your counterparts have come across as pretty arrogant recently. I'm not talking about the guys on realgm, but Ohio State fans in general seem to think that Oregon is an inferior opponent. Let's take a look at some common opponents:

OSU loses to USC by 4
Oregon Kills USC by 27

OSU loses to Purdue by 8
Oregon beats Purdue by 2

As far as these two teams go, matchups against COMMON OPPONENTS is probably the best way to predict how these teams match up. While, granted, it isn't foolproof by any stretch of the imagination, it does indicate that against similar opponents, Oregon has outperformed Ohio State. Also, rumor has it OSU is bad at defending the spread offense...

Well I take my last comment back. The pathetic 10 is horrible this bowl season. I don't know what to expect.

Oregon got out-coached, out-played and out-classed. Simple as that. Doesn't break my heart one bit.

Not even close. :nonono:

Outclassed is whatever the hell happened to your Beavers in Las Vegas. Oregon proved that it could stay on the field with Ohio State for 60 minutes. The Ducks didn't come away with the W, but they did not lose any respect for their play.

Oregon lost the game as almost a touchdown favorite. while there is no shame on losing to a program that is clearly superior, relevant to expectations Oregon was quite disappointing.

btw 3 teams in final top ten, this should shut up big 10 haters for a while.

You're an idiot. 'Clearly' superior as in constantly blowing bowl games? Sure, we don't get the high pre season rankings that your team does, but come on man, you, as a buck fan, should be the last person to talk. Classy...
