A 7-5 year for them will be a success.

They lost almost everyone and don't really have the depth to support it.

Jeff - thoughts on Danny O'Brien, QB from UMD? Looks to have a decent arm, but the kid made some mistakes that would have NFL coaches staying up late.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Do you know how recruiting is going lately? I don't follow it like I used to, I'm curious how much the sanctions are hurting in that regard.

it hasnt hurt us in the sense that were loosing top recruits, but next year we are gonna have 10 less scholarships to offer (i believe), and that hurts our depth. we've still been able to get the top prospects out of California (actually stole one from stanford last year), but ive noticed that less kids on the east coast seem to have interest in SC.

as for next year, i know theres a bunch of beastly lineman coming out of california. i think the best guy we have committed so far is Arik Armstead, huge DE, rivals has him listed as similar to Richard Seymour fwiw. he's only a 4 star, but he is the 4th in the country at his position. we have 2 other 4 star LBs committed, both top 10 in the country, and another 4 star O-lineman. we need to really focus on rebuilding both our lines, and getting some intelligent LBs to run this Tampa-2. our skill positions, especially WR, are stacked right now. we dont really have a great RB until Tyler gets back, and whatever is going with Baxter gets solved.

the biggest issue over the next 3-4 years is maintaining depth. we're gonna have to redshirt a lot of guys (more than we would like, i imagine), and hope guys dont leave early.

Decent arm, quick release......is entertaining as hell, but reckless. I would assume he'll tone that down some as he gains experience. O'Brien will put up some big numbers over the next couple of years.

Better NFL prospect than Chris Turner. He has a lot to learn but there is a lot to work with there too. The mechanics are good when he doesn't ignore them, and that can be coached.

I actually really like the Maryland uniforms. My first reaction was "Sweet!". Then again I spent 1990 wearing concert t-shirts and Zubaz...

i didn't see anything that bad about the maryland unis at all, its neat that they worked their flag in. they do have one of the more unique flags- and it was cool to see it on the helmets
