As a Michigan State fan, I'm happy to eat crow on the hiring on Dantonio. We interviewed both Dantonio and Brian Kelly who was in Cincinnati at the time. After Kelly's work at Grand Valley and with the Bearcats, I was stunned we passed him over. Even if Kelly had come, though, I'm sure he would've left a la Nick Saban after a few years. Dantonio looks to be in it for the long haul. Having him and Izzo as pillars means MSU will be strong for years to come.

Incredible Rose Bowl win against a tough Stanford team.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

oklahoma scores 31 points at the half against a team that allowed more than 30 in a game only once whole season, kinda shows bowl games decided on motivation moreso than quality of teams

Trevor Knight was nothing short of phenomenal. I didn't realize he had such a live arm.

he seems to be in mold of african big men prospects that pop up in every nba draft, has all the physical tools but doesn't know how to play the game.

This was the first time Saban has lost back to back games since 2008.

too bad about ohio st

big ten finishes with a losing record in the bowls, but at least they got the rose bowl - and they were in the ones they lost, so i feel better about this bowl season compared with some previous ones

As expected Manziel has officially declared for the NFL draft. I just pray to god he doesn't end up in Cleveland.

It will be interesting to see where JM goes.

To me, he's a mix between Charley Ward, Doug Flutie, and Fran Tarkenton at times.

Oh I agree about the athleticism.

I was referring to his style.
