S. Carolina/Alabama only SEC teams w/ 11 wins for past 3yrs

Post#1 » by GameCock-MD » Thu Jan 2, 2014 6:59 am

Just that simple. Only 2 SEC teams to consistently finish in the top 10 for the last 3 years. Yet Spurrier and SC gets little to no love from major recruits around the nation? And people love to claim Spurrier isn't a GREAT coach?

Give Spurrier the recruiting classes LSU, Bama or even TENN and he'd dominate...and SC would compete for a National Title every year...

I doubt USC would have won so many games had they played in the sec west.

Winning 11 games a season in the East or West is hard. SC is the only EAST team to have done that for the past 3 years...

Too bad SC doesn't get more love in the recruiting game. Imagine what Spurrier could do with a top 10 recruiting class?

Recruiting is the most important part of being a college coach, if he is not doing a good job in that aspect then he is not a great college coach.

Once we get out of sanctions, that would be cool to set up a date to play a game, with a program coached by steve spurrier.

USC vs South Carolina

That would be a ratings blockbuster and easy sell out on the east coast.

Thing about South Carolina is that they haven't won the SEC East at all these past three years. Missouri got to Atlanta last year, and UGA did it the past two years. Winning 11 games is nice and all, but when you don't even get to the conference championship, then the season loses value.
