He's actually at 145 innings this year. Of course his limit should be about 175 innings so maybe one more start, then Sheets comes back and he goes to the bullpen and then if we make the playoffs he can start a few games.



Whos going to replace Gallardo in the roation? When sheets comes back.

Why is everyone around this 175 IP limit. He pitched 150 innings last year.

Probably Villanueva. He's getting his arm stretched out in AAA.

And it's been studied that you don't raise a young pitchers innings by more than 25 innings per year because if you do there is an increased risk of arm problems. Mark Prior and Kerry Wood are the poster children for too much, too soon on a young arm.

but if cv is in the roation i guess i am fine with it.

Style of pitcher isn't very relevant.
