I think we can take the Cardinals out of the race...they are a sinking ship.

The Cards and Cubs do match up for 4 in St. Louis this weekend. If they win three of those then they're not out of it by any stretch

Well, he also said the Eagles winning was a lock, so....

I will not be confident until we clinch it either, if that happens. Look at today. Comeback, looks like we will take the lead, Hall K's, Jenkins grounds out, Turnbow blows the game. Over just like that. Now the Cubs will tie us up again tonight.

This has been a sub .500 team for 110 games of baseball. Enough said.

Sorry for thinking my teams can win every game guys :(

God, could the Cubs have an easier schedule to finish the season? We're going to need some unexpected help!

Don't be so sure. We're 5-7 against the Reds and Pirates, and got swept by the Marlins in our only meeting. We're really bad against really bad teams.

They just showed on SportsCenter, the Brewers' magic number is 12. I know they're tied with the Cubs and it could go either way, but it's still really cool to hear the Brewers and "magic number" in the same sentence (without "spoiler" thrown in there as well) at this point in September.

Magic number = 12

Number of games remaining = 12

Yeah, I'm not excited about that regardless

We're in the Midwest too...and hey, an Indians and Cubs WS would match the two longest droughts in the game.
