Also, this is the only time you'll see me do this, but I have to tip my hat to USC.

That was a class move to honor Mario Danelo. For those who didn't see it, they lined up for their first extra point without a kicker and took a penalty.

I saw that...I agree, it was a classy move.

i saw a quarter and a half of the alabama game when it was pretty much a done deal but they looked impressive.

they might have the toughest stretch in college football over the next 5 weeks. next saturday they play vandy.

then the test starts they play arkansas, georgia @ florida st. and then houston in 4 straight weeks. crazy but it'll give everyone an indication on how good saban will make them this year.

Yea, Florida State's offseason coaching changes aren't paying off in this game so far. Clemson is nasty right now.

Flip to ESPN2 if you are bored of this game.
They are showing the Boise State special movie.

Reason number 947564834738573 why the poll system is f**ked up: they ranked a Florida State team based on name only. They're gonna struggle to be 6-6 or 7-6 this year.

Not just by their name but by their coach's name too.
I hate the way they run college football so much but I don't think it will ever change.

Florida St. sucks. I think people hype them up too much. I still think its either Miami or BC, with Georgia Tech being the sleeper.

Precisely why I NEVER do a preseason ranking even though about 50 different people ask me. I wish they wouldn't come out with any polls until after 4 weeks--things usually don't change as much after that.

FSU's O-line looked terrible, just completely unable to handle Clemson's DEs and anyone who blitzed. That's not going to change much either. Weatherford has never impressed me much, too inaccurate and skittish. Although that last TD he threw was a beaut. Look at all the trouble they had getting plays off in time and burning timeouts in key spots.

I'll tell you what--if Clemson can get that strong 1-2 RB punch with Spiller and Hill all year they're going to be tough to beat. FSU's defense isn't bad and they ran all over it.

im not sure if you want a new thread for this week but the louisville vs. middle tennessee has certainly been exciting, the 1st 4 minutes of the game the teams combined for 28 points. You also get a chance to see potential #1 pick Brian Brohm.

Oregon State's QB is the difference in the game. Everytime he's thrown a pick (twice) Cincy has put up points. 10-3 at halftime.

I am SO happy I didn't get to watch this game. I can't afford a new TV right now.

I was able to catch part of the game on the radio and it was just absolutely disgusting. At least OSU has their powder puff game next week to (hopefully) help them regroup.

Cincy is going to be a pretty good program under Brian Kelly. He's the guy who built Grand Valley State into the USC of D-II and stole recruits from UM and MSU while at Central Michigan. Offensive freaking genius--give him an accurate QB and he's going to light it up.
