that must be a joke, because we smoke those teams in the sec on a regular basis.

heck, didnt you guys send a team to the SEC championship game recently? we slapped 70 and 50pts on that team. those teams absolutely have no chance when they play us, and they know it. the proof is there. the score is there. and the talent and speed on our team is 2nd to none!

Well, then even more reason why I want a piece of SC. I never said we would slap them around, I said I want my team to play them.

USC is so great according to you, but they get their chance every year and blow it. At some point every year for the past 3 years, USC has been ranked number 1 and laid and egg against a much inferior team.

I for one, would love for the Big 12 teams to all end up with 2 losses and get USC. Can we lose? Maybe, you don't know which USC team would show up, but I want the Gators to play them so at the end of the year, no one is arguing whether USC was really the best team.

I don't think it will happen though, you guys had too easy of an schedule to impress anyone with your one loss record and the Big 12 teams will not all lose 2 games.

it doesnt actually matter. we are getting murdered in the polls. take the coaches poll for example, an percentage of the BCS poll, oklahoma is ranked ahead of texas . . . that is absolutely a joke.

but i know for a fact that you florida fans know, smaller weaker teams sometimes jump up and bite when you are not paying attention . . . yet it seems, only USC gets penalized for those slip ups.

Everyone has slip ups and there is no doubt USC is a great team. The problem that USC faces is that the PAC 10 had a down year and they lost at a bad time. They lost once the toughest part of their schedule had passed and after that, no matter how easily they win, it will be hard to impress voters since they are beating teams they should beat. The teams from the Big 12 have had a tough schedule against each other. Teams like Fl who also laid an egg against an inferior team, will have the chance to beat Alabama and earn their National Championship game if they win.

Point is, if USC played a #6 ranked Georgia team and spanked them, and then played a #1 ranked Alabama and beat them, USC would be in the title game. But USC won't have that opportunity. Blame the schedule makers or the other teams in the Pac 10. No one is against USC, if anything, USC is the nation's and media's favorite team. They just lost at a bad time and will not be able to impress anyone by beating UCLA and Stanford.

The fact is USC lost to Oregon State because of penalties and stupid mistakes towards the end of regulation. If anyone can find the stat that shows all the penalties and yards SC has got called on, I would love to see it. I'd imagine it's the most of all time.

Also, the only legit teams are Alabama and USC. Florida is good, but I think they get upset this week by Carolina.

South Carolina's defense is real nice, so if Florida wins I can't see it being by more than 10 points.

there are at least 5 teams that could be considered "more legit" than USC.

lol@ "mistakes lost us the game". that s usually how you get a loss, one team makes more mistakes than other.

If you're talking about offenses, yes, but not the complete package offense and defense.

Georgia's D was nice too, but Fl is scoring defensive and special teams points. The offense is also clicking on all cylinders. I expect Fl to win big, but like I said, you never know.

Point being,

USC had a real shot at the title 2 years ago and lost the last game of the season to UCLA.
They had a great shot at the tile last year, and then lost to Stanford.
Had a great shot this year, they were far ahead of everyone in the rankings, and lost to Oregon State.

USC needs to stop complaining and step up and handle their business. They destroy teams in bowls, but keeps laying eggs against much inferior teams during the regular season. No one's fault but your own. One year, ok. 3 years in a row? No excuses. I'm sorry.

penalties are mistakes. no pac-1 ref would be biased against USC so i dont know where you are getting at.

umm,i didnt delete my post, just screwed up while editing second part. there are at least 5 teams that could be considered legit before it comes to USC. you dont prove yourself on paper, you prove yourself on the field and other teams did that better than USC.

USC is always a pre season top 5, but the media, coaches, and refs are biased against them. Riiiight

There are 5 teams that have better offenses than USC, not better teams...

USC is always a preseason top 5 because we always have one of the top recruiting classes every year. How does the obvious make the media in favor of USC? Would you not rank them in the Top 5 every preseason?

USC lost to Oregon State for 2 simple reasons. 1) USC's defense could not figure out how to stop a 5' 6" true-freshman running back (granted, he's the top rusher in the conference and in the top 15 nationally). 2) USC was so full of their own press that they failed to realize that they actually had to play a game in order to win. Their over-confidence was only overshadowed by their arrogance.

I would, but if the media was biased against USC, they wouldn't be so quick to rank them so high before any games have been played regardless of recruiting class. In the NBA, a team Memphis could make a good move, it will get no attention from the biased media. USC is America's version of the Cowboys. No one is biased against the, they just haven't delivered for 3 straight years.

Bottom line, had USC handled their business the past 3 years, they would have been on the National championship game all 3 years. Instead, they lose to inferior teams and blame everyone else for not being in the big game.

it is always the same story with USC. nobody denying the amount of talent they have but if you cant deliver on the field talent doesnt mean jacksh*t.

before 2006 rose bowl, BSPN ran a week long programming to proclaim how 05 trojans were the best team ever. result: loss to longhorns.
last year, gazillion people bet on USC to win national championship after other BCS teams started dropping like flies. result: spanked by Stanford.
this year, BSPN and USC faithful claimed they are lock for championship after week 1. result: spanked by Oregon State.

all the talent in USC squad cant carry the weight of the jersey they are wearing and at the end team pays the price. national powerhouses like USC has no right to talk about bias; they take care of their business, they play for championship. if not, they can whine all they want about how they are in fact the best team in the nation despite the results, but in reality rest of the college football world couldnt give a sh*t about their glorious recruiting class. plain and simple.

What team, what winning team, isn't confident?

USC does have two krypotonites though: Small, undersized, fast running backs and two way QB's.
