Stanford, UGA both lose.

LSU knocks off UF, A & M barely beats Mississippi, Michigan loses at PSU in 4 OT's.

Great weekend for NCAA football.

Lots of risers and fallers this week:

- The biggest jump is from Mizzou, 11 spots, after handling Georgia in Athens.
- LSU vaults from 10 to 6.
- VaTech goes from 24 to 19.
- Auburn makes their first appearance in the Top 25 in a while. Wisconsin also peeks back in after beating NW.
- Stanford and Georgia both topple eight spots, to 13 and 15 respectively. OU falls 6 to 18.
- Texas Tech is looking to play spoiler in the Big 12 and Fresno State wants some Cinderella talk.

Big Games for Week 8:

#10 Miami at UNC (Thursday night)
UCF @ #8 Louisville (Friday night)
#11 South Carolina @ Tennessee
TCU @ #21 OK State
#22 Florida @ #14 Missouri
Iowa @ #4 Ohio State
#24 Auburn @ #7 Texas A&M
#9 UCLA @ #13 Stanford
#6 LSU @ Ole Miss
USC @ Notre Dame (lol jk... not really)
Wazzu @ #2 Oregon

And, the unquestionable Game of the Week: #5 FSU @ #3 Clemson

Louisville will pretty much have its last big challenge of the season when they host UCF. Tennessee may be able to salvage some respect in SEC play this year by taking down South Carolina. Mizzou can continue their rise by beating the falling Gators. Hermes' Iowa squad could do Wisconsin and the rest of the nation a favor by upsetting the F*ckeyes. Auburn could get their biggest win in a couple years by beating A&M. UCLA could effectively end any of Stanford's BCS hopes by winning that huge matchup.

But, the main attraction is definitely FSU vs. Clemson with absolutely everything on the line. What could truly be tragic about this game is that the winner may still be shut out of a National Championship bid because of how dominant Bama and Oregon are this season. So, it could simply be a game to get the driver's seat in the ACC Atlantic.

The best part of the sports year lies ahead: World Series, NCAA in midstream, other sports getting under way, and the nfl gaining momentum.

Some interesting NCAA match ups this week.

Stanford ucla basically playing a qualifying game this week.

Lot of good sec games too

The Big 10 has now taken the lead from the ACC as the worst league

i'm not holding my breath

iowa's secondary isn't that great, so i imagine there will be more than a few buckeyes running free in the backfield

got a week off to prepare though, hopefully the offense gets on track after running into that spartan wall

UCF defeats Louisville 38-35, and did so after trailing 28-7 in the third quarter.

For UCF, the victory exorcized the demons of never having won "the big game".

For Louisville, it was an introduction to "big-boy" football that they thought did not exist in the newly formed AAC.

UL has a minimal pedigree in football, but listening to the fan base......comments about the AAC competition bordered on arrogance but was defined last night as ignorance.

Well done UCF.

The SEC is such a mess this year, which makes me think Bama may actually lose.

Wouldn't doubted it, I've got my eye on either the LSU or Mississippi St game.

if anything it makes bama job easier, full strength georgia or florida would've given them trouble in conference title game, now they are going to play against a missouri team with a freshman qb. although lsu game should be tricky as always.

Man, Mike Evans is a **** beast. Bang-bang play after Auburn failed to capitalize on a money throw down the sideline by Marshall.

Manziel injured...hopefully it's just a stinger. :(

Edit: Looks like that shoulder is going to be a no go for the remainder of the game.
