False.

Les Miles has signed a multi-year extension with LSU and has declined the Michigan position.

Haywood is offensive coordinator in name only, Weis has called every play since he got here. So I really don't know how good a coach he is.

So Pelini is the next Husker coach.

Maybe Tenuta goes to LSU? Damn, his blitzing with those athletes would be devastating.

I think Chan Gailey would be a perfect fit for the Cougars.

Chan Gailey should never coach a team again.

In other news, WSU is reportedly high on the idea of a return of Mike Price.

Karl Dorrell was fired.

"Boise State's Chris Petersen, Texas Tech's Mike Leach and former NFL coach Steve Mariucci have already been contacted by UCLA about the job, the Los Angeles Times reported."

I thought Chris Petersen wasn't interested in leaving Boise State (don't have an exact source, just something I thought I heard a while back).

Petersen already shot down the Bruins' job offer. Sorry, UCLA fans.

Mike Leach has been rumored to coach at every college in the planet.

Washington fans on message boards are all saying Ty has been fired.

And after only 3 years...if true I hope Scoop Jackson goes on about how UW is such a racist institution.

Well, I'm in Seattle and haven't heard anything...of course I have been pretty busy today.

The speculation probably has to do with the fact that an end of season press conference Ty was supposed to have yesterday was canceled. Official reason was because the team didn't get back from Hawaii until late Monday (a big storm we had yesterday may have also had something to do with it). Mostly it sounds like a lot of nit-wits reading too much into a press conference cancellation: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/h ... fb04x.html

On a side note, one of Ty's assistants (Trent Miles) will be taking a head job at Indiana State:

Tuberville signed an extension with Auburn, so he's off the table for Arkansas.

Supposedly they've interviewed Ron English a couple times.

As I thought yesterday, the reports of Ty's demise were nothing but hyperactive speculation by a bunch of nit-wits. He will return to UW next season:

Tyrone Willingham will return as coach of the Washington Huskies in 2008, The Seattle Times has learned. Willingham will meet the media at 2 p.m. today for what the school says his is usual end-of-the-year press briefing. Athletic director Todd Turner will also be there.

Willingham is 11-25 in three seasons as UW's coach, including a 4-9 record this season that led to much conjecture about his future.

The season ended with a 35-28 loss at Hawaii that concluded a 2-9 finish for the Huskies after a 2-0 start and led to much unrest among some fans as Willingham became the first coach in UW history to suffer three consecutive losing seasons. Some fans had openly pined for the school to instead make a run at Seattle Seahawks assistant Jim Mora, a former Husky player.
