No comment on the arrogance/entitlement, but they have been irrelevant for a decade.

FSU has been nothing short of dominant this year....and as long as they don't have a hiccup game the polls will take care of themselves. The disrespect that they feel is because their conference has been arguably among the worst, and definitely the worst performing BCS bowl conference.

Not much respect has been earned by the ACC

If everyone runs the table, I think we'll see Bama vs. Oregon for the national championship. FSU would probably finish 3rd and play in the Orange Bowl, with Ohio State 4th and playing in the Rose Bowl.

Alabama and Oregon have enough games left against pretty good teams to ensure that they end up 1 and 2 in the polls, but they're also the most likely teams in the top 4 to lose a game. Bama has LSU, Auburn, and the SEC title game. Oregon has Stanford, Oregon State, and the Pac 12 title game (looking like ASU right now). FSU and Ohio State are gonna be spectators, but have by far the easier paths to staying undefeated.

If Stanford beats Oregon, we could end up with some pretty interesting matchups. Bama vs. FSU for the Natty and Stanford vs. Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Oregon would then likely go to the Fiesta Bowl, although I am skeptical about Baylor being the team coming out of the Big 12.

I'd love to see the ACC represented in the national game , so go FSU.

OSU will only get in if two teams in front of them lose.

That's how bad the perception of the big-10 is.

and they have every right to bitch if fsu gets left out, they obliterated every opponent including two top ten teams and assuming they beat florida that would be a better ooc win than any that alabama or oregon had. not sure what else they could do to get in the game. fsu's problems past decade is hardly the fault of jameis winston and co.

let's hope stanford and/or lsu gets the job done to avoid the mess.

osu in the title game would be interesting if somehow guiton ends up as the qb, miller's talent is apparent but sometimes he tries to do too much and that's a recipe for disaster against fsu or alabama.

Beating Florida doesn't really have that great an effect on their SOS. All three have absolutely dismal OOC strength, but if they all run the table, I think Bama and Oregon have better quality wins than FSU does.

If I had to rank the big three in terms of insufferability, it'd go like this...

Florida

Miami
FSU

while florida isn't anything special they are certainly better than tennessee and nicholls st, v-tech is debatable but florida probably beats them head to head as well.

also considering clemson and miami still hanging around 5-15 range, oregon won't have better top quality wins. they'll end up beating better quality mediocre teams since acc's bad teams look absolutely terrible, that might help them with computers.

Stanford and UCLA may still be hanging around the top 15 when it comes to bowl season, too, but I agree.

I think Florida would probably beat the Hokies, as well, especially after that embarrassing loss to Duke.

Big game tonight. To me it looks like the human polls are getting more and more on FSU wagon. I think Oregon needs a big win tonight to secure top 2. remaining SOS favors Oregon, but I think total SOS will still favor FSU or be very close unless Clemson or Miami lose again and depending on who they play in the title game. If Oregon squeaks by Stanford and they don't get a big jump in Human polls it could be ridiculously close. the BCS uses an average ranking of the computer polls so - FSU 1, Alabama 2, Oregon 3, is not going to change that much if all three win out. maybe Bama possibly jumps FSU in the computers but I don't think Oregon will move out of the 3 spot.

going to be interesting

DeAnthony Thomas said the Ducks would hang "at least 40" on Stanford tonight, which makes me want to play the "tempting fate" card. Stanford's defense isn't quite as good as it has been in recent years, but I don't see Oregon putting up crazy numbers against them tonight. Part of me wants to pick Oregon just to spite my FSU friends, part of me wants to pick Stanford because I think the Ducks are a little too cocky.

Meh... Stanford wins 30-27 with a last second FG.

You can bet your ass that the Ducks are going to run up the score against Stanford today. Huge statement win tonight. They'll be #2 in the BCS rankings by weeks end.

I was pretty confident about Stanford winning today but line is pretty damn high for some reason considering how well these two matched up recent years, Vegas might know something I dont.

It is an interesting Line, but you have to remember lines are set to make money for the house...but also prevent bad beats.
In this case I think if they set the line at around 7...which is probably where it should be...there would be so much money on Oregon that there would be too much risk for the book makers.

That said I see Oregon covering comfortably 41-20. i wouldn't touch this game with real money though :)
