i just don't want to hear anything about racism ever again whenever i talk about willingham or UW. i'm sick of it. this is like the 3rd time already. how about you understand the situation first before you make any judgment. i'm talking about UW so don't bring that "oh, racism" blah blah blah talk.

Wow...just, wow. You really need to stop overreacting like this. You have so completely missed the point of any comments that have to do with racism in relation to Willingham that is just isn't funny.

^ how is it overreacting? i just don't want to hear any about racism when we are talking about ty willingham. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK? i don't think so. even if ty willingham is fired from washington, is it really about the color of his skin? no..... i don't know much about the notre dame situation so i won't comment about it or talk about it. racist or not. that drama was over and ty willingham and everybody has moved on. even the media has moved on.

ty willingham is in UW now not notre dame. he's NOT GETTING FIRED.

anyway, i believe ty willingham is moving this team to the right direction. i mean it wasn't his fault that UW has fallen off the map. everybody in seattle knows it's rebuilding time. i didn't expect a lot this year since jake locker is just a freshman. next year, i will be expecting a lot from him though. he needs to improve his accuracy and long balls. hopefully, he will bring this team to a bowl game.

the only changes i want is from the assistant coaches and coordinators. our offensive coordinator needs to do a better job with schemes and playbook. we only had like 10 different kinds of plays this year... it was way too predictable. i hope we can have a similar offense like west virginia or at least do a shotgun formation for jake locker. i doubt it will ever happen though...

anyway, lets drop this stupid racism/willingham talk and focus on coaching and football. i don't want to talk about it and i know you don't want to talk about GYBE as well.

*notre dame is coming to UW next year, i will definitely be at that game. it will be a good one.

Dude, calm down. I never tried made a single point about Willingham or UW, or insinuate Washington is racist. All I said is I want the press held accountable for their ridiculous coverage of his firing at ND. For weeks we were insulted, it hurt recruiting and unfairly painted us as a bigoted program.

My point is whenever UW fires him, it will be no big deal. No one will call you guys racist (and they shouldn't). No one is racist simply because they fire a black coach, but somehow that point kept being made. I guess I mainly want an apology or something, though it will basically be meaningless at this point.

Anyways, the names I'm hearing in the Michigan coaching search are uninspiring to say the least.
- Ron English
- Brady Hoke
- Mike DeBeford
- Sean Payton (unlikely)
- Jim Harbaugh

Yikes.

Yep.

Michigan is going to have some fun finding a quality head coach though. Low-ball offers are what they seem to want to do for this search. $1.1M/year is a joke.

WSU has hired Paul Wulff to replace Bill Doba. Wulff is a former Coug and spent the last few season as head coach at I-AA Eastern Washington.

I like that Navy hired the Polynesian-American dude, I won't even try to type his name right. As many successful Pacific Islanders that play football, that's a savvy recruiting and a good show of risk-taking by a team not noted for being the most forward-thinking.

I also like what Wazzou did in bringing up the I-AA guy with background at the school. Worked for Ohio State pretty darn well.

Latest Arkansas rumour is Will Muschamp, DC at Auburn.

The Les Miles-Michigan tango isn't done yet. Though he signed an extension, his buyout is exactly the same as it once was. So really nothings changed and he could still bolt after the title game. This uncertainty is probably only hurting both Michigan and LSU recruiting.

The talking heads around here are still trumpeting Miles too, in the vein that he specifically did not turn down Michigan but rather negotiated a new deal with LSU. Personally I think it's a dead horse, but I could be wrong...

Interesting move by Petrino.. At least now we won't have to hear "Brohm reunited with Petrino".

I thought Petrino had done a commendable job giving the circumstances with Atlanta this year, but maybe I'm wrong.

Commendable based on what? There wasn't much good said about Petrino while he was here. The fact that he is going to bail not even through his first season tells you how deep in over his head he was.

On a college level, though, this makes the SEC that much tougher if his tenure at Louisville wasn't a fluke. I think him bailing on Louisville and then bailing on the Falcons not even a year later will really hurt him in the recruiting department.

Not a coaching change, but the move is (somewhat) related to recent rumblings of a potential change. Washington's Athletic Director unexpectedly resigned today citing "philosophical differences" as the reason. This comes a week after rumblings about whether Ty Willingham would lose his job. While UW's president insisted that Willingham's situation had only a minor role in the decision and that Ty will remain the coach, the AD told the Seattle Times that the "ordeal" influenced his decision saying

it'd be lovely if people called petrino a snake and coward like they did w/nick saban last year but of course they wont

i dont blame coaches for it but what saban did last year is what coaches have done since the beginning of coaches and yet saban leaving the dolphins was if he just dropped a bomb on the city of miami

^^ You obviously haven't been listening to any Atlanta radio. (not that I'd expect you to) :D

There isn't a single Atlanta fan who cares for Petrino. It may not get the national media attention that Saban got, but they're two different personalities and nobody cares about Atlanta or Arkansas.

There's a guy that sits by the Phillips Arena MARTA station and plays the drums on a bucket. That's about it.

Petrino made is worse though. He cut grady jackson and in doing so pissed off all the veterans. Ovie was brought in to help carrying the ball and catch some out of the backfield and Petrino did not play him. Norwood is our most explosive player and Petrino refused to use him. So he made is much worse than it should have been.
