so far it seems that the ranked teams have won (except for TCU who lost to Baylor 50-48) and Auburn only beat Utah St by 4, and so far South Florida is up 13 on Notre Dame

my hawkeyes won 34-7, weather sounded really bad- an hour delay in there

Strangest Notre Dame I've ever seen. Losing 16-0 while gaining more yards. Lost a fumble on the 1 that was taken 99 yards for a TD. Crist threw an interception in the USF endzone. They have 10 combined drops and penalties in one half. And now, lightning strikes near the campus so ND stadium is evacuated for the first time EVER.

The game's going to feel like a double-header since the delay will probably be a couple hours.

Robert Woods = Beast. on his way to breaking the USC record for receptions, and possibly TDs. kid is the best WR in the country as a true sophmore.

unfortunately the USC defense is still very shaky, but its better than last year. their offense is gonna be amazing this year. a top 5 pick on the offensive line, potential Heisman candidates in Barkley+Woods, a great running back trio of Tyler/Morgan/Baxter, and some incredibly athletic, highly touted WRs in Farmer and Lee.

i dont know why baxter isnt playing, but he deserves some burn.

USC's defense looked awful against a perennially awful Minnesota squad. I guess it's a good thing they aren't eligible for a bowl again this year, because they might struggle to get to 6 wins.

well they won 8 last year, and their defense is better than it was, and their offense is slightly better. as bad as their D played today, it was much worse last year.

so their really is no reason why they should win less than 8, unless you think that teams like Notre Dame (LOL) and Arizona are better than they were, and Utah and Colorado are gonna beat them.

remember, USC lost to Stanford on the last play of the game away from home, while this year they have them at the coliseum. they also lost on the last play, without their starting QB, to notre dame.

i think we'll win about 9, maybe 10 games. @ASU scares me, and obviously @Oregon and Stanford, but other than those games, we should have no problem. Notre Dame is still a joke, we have Washington, Utah and Arizona at home, and @Cal shouldnt be too difficult. UCLA, Cuse and @Colorado are gimmes imo. not see where youre getting 6 losses from. even if we assume Oregon, Stanford and ASU are losses, that means we'd have to get upset in 3 other games, which i dont see happening.

looks like USF has a chance to upset Notre Dame, which is just lol.

at least they have Floyd, hes easily one of the best WRs in the country.

Notre Dame is nowhere close to their ranking* and USF should easily win the Big Least this year. No one should be surprised.

From the strangely docile sidelines in Austin:
Texas stinks, only winning because of special teams. Rice could win and has the better defense. Seriously.

Glad to see old acquaintance Luke Fickell get a nice debut shutout. Used to play playground hoops with him in HS, he lived about 3 blocks from me.

I only saw bits of it but Baylor/tcu was fantastic.

Lol they just announced Ohio 30, New Mexico 10 and I screamed wildly during a TV timeout. People think I'm crazy!

Anyone want to argue now that Auburn is the worst team in the SEC West? Utah freaking State damn near beat 'em. Auburn will be very lucky to even make a bowl this year, defense is awful.

Oregon is really missing lamichael. Thomas with 2 fumbles and just looks rattled. Their offense looks like a shell of itself, LSU is really bothering them.

I'm not sure if Boise was just the better team, or if Georgia just wasn't prepared?

I have no idea where this confidence is coming from. Minnesota is really bad.

South Florida is no juggernaut, but they might win the Big East. Notre Dame lost by three points while being -5 in turnover differential, including twice losing it inside the 2 yard line. The defense allowed one touchdown all game despite the amazing field position USF usually had. ND missed a 30 yard field goal. I mean, I guess it's possible that these bad bounces happen every game, but I doubt it.

USC doesn't really exist in college football for the next two years. Nothing the team does matters. That's the joke.

I have a lot of misplaced confidence in my life. Everything's going fine, soI'm just gonna keep on going with that until it totally backfires.

And this is our last year of the post season ban.

Last year? I stand corrected.

Do you know how recruiting is going lately? I don't follow it like I used to, I'm curious how much the sanctions are hurting in that regard.
