Boise should be around #12, IMHO. The BCS will look pretty interesting once it gets past 1-3.

The best Big Ten team is 15th. Wow. The sad part is that I couldn't make a legit argument that any of that cluster of Big 10 teams is any better than teams above them. I'm not sure any are better than SoMiss or Baylor, not on a neutral field anyways.
I wonder how much Clemson can move up. They have a game left with South Carolina and a repeat match with Virginia Tech. That's two top 12 BCS teams left, they've already convincingly pounded Auburn and Florida State. If they win those, can they vault over a one-loss Oregon or Oklahoma State?

Just wondering, can anyone explain why top tier, 5 star QBs aren't knocking down the doors to play at LSU and Bama and such?
Is it because they want to go to defenseless conferences and pump their stats? I don't understand how LSU, a team that consistently has a top tier O-line, Running game, plethora of NFL caliber receivers, and a dominating defense can't get a REAL top notch QB in there. I'm not even an LSU fan like the rest of the region, but I'd have to think they'd be close to the top of my list, considering I can pretty much compete for a national title and get monstrous exposure, with a great supporting cast.

For one, because the 5-star rating isn't accurate......and recruiting is a guessing game to begin with
However, for LSU....Jamarcus Russell was a 5-star and I believe Russell Shepard was as well (he never played QB at LSU)
LSU had a run of consecutive of QB's make it to the NFL.....Rohan Davie, Matt Mauck, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn.....and all were successful collegiate QB's

For Bama, Nick Saban has always viewed the QB position as a necessary evil more than an asset. His entire philosophy is to have the QB not lose games. It goes back to when he was coaching at Toledo, he really chased after one particular QB from the conference I played in because he was a smart kid with good accuracy. I think he was 1 2-star rated recruit but Saban told him he was perfect because he wouldn't be asked to do too much. The kid decided to go to Mount Union instead. Saban left after one season like everyone expected.
McElroy and JP Wilson were the ultimate Saban QBs--smart, poised, sees the field well, protect the ball, decent-not-great arm, decent-not-great mobility. Saban loathes QBs that are bigger than the program or himself.

LSU has had good quarterback recruiting. Zach Lee was highly touted in 2010. They had two 4-star guys in 2011. Russell Shephard was a 5-star QB. Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee were 4-stars. There's only a few 5 star QB's each year, so they've done well. Developing them seems to be a problem.
I agree with Icness on Saban.
I remember when Notre Dame hired Weis. All the guys on the message boards predicted titles because of the expected QB recruits. He DID get some elite QB's (5-stars Clausen and Crist in consecutive years). Didn't lead to winning. And instead of being a feeder school for NFL QB's, ND has strangely only had success with Tight Ends at the next level.
The Notre Dame helmets were disgusting last week. To the elderly, stubborn Irish fans, that was worse than any loss on his record.

I remember all the hoopla around here when Jimmy Clausen committed to Notre Dame. It was about a month after I met him at a camp I got to go to because I was working on a piece for a local paper and I was outraged at how much attention he was getting. He looked and acted like such a douchebag as a high school senior.
Then I posted this picture...

Jimmy is the anti-Tebow. I have never seen a guy so widely disliked by fellow players, teammates, coaches, media guys that have covered him. Check that, Corey Dillon in his late Cincinnati era was that reviled by everyone, but he's the only other guy. Maybe Cade McNown.
