Surprised to see my Gators at number 2, but we have a long road ahead. We have Georgia, SC, and FL ST and then we would have Bama in the SEC championship if we somehow survive that schedule. I say we have almost no chance of making it to the title game.

I think the Gators can beat UGA and FSU, but South Carolina will be a challenge. I fully expect that that game could end up being a 6-3 final.

I will be honest when I say I think Notre Dame may actually be setting themselves up for a "magical run," but I wouldn't put it past them to have a hiccup in a game before they play USC. Regardless of any outcome, I think they get crushed by Bama in the NC.

Oregon is an interesting team, though. The Civil War could actually determine a berth in the NC, or just the Rose Bowl.

If Notre Dame makes it to the NC game, they will get destroyed by Bama. They are just not ready for that kind of speed and physicality

If K-State can stay undefeated I have to think their schedule would get them in over any 1-loss SEC team and an undefeated Oregon team because Big 12>>Pac 12. Having said that, West Virginia probably beats them by 24 this weekend.

Florida State I guess could get to #2 if they beat Florida and that winds up being Florida's only loss. I don't see the Gators winding up with less than two losses though, including to the Noles.

Also, the Oregon helmets in this ASU game should be illegal. Nice of them to keep their starters in while up 43-7 in the 4th quarter too. Chip Kelly can suck a lemon.

Oregon had 2nd and 3rd stringers in for the entire second half...keep on whining.

Such a class act in addition to being so modest.

I wonder when the NCAA hammer falls?

I'm rooting for Oregon to win it all, they are the best football program out there imo on an overall scoreboard. They seem to care more than everybody else and they have the best uniforms in the country by far. What about their helmets should be illegal though?

I can't tell if all the whining is about jealousy or a grudge against Oregon...but it's definitely not based on fact. Oregon had 2nd and 3rd stringers (and beyond) in the game during the 4th quarter. It's not Chip Kelly's problem if ASU's starters still struggle against Oregon's backups.

The ball carriers in the 4th quarter for Oregon were true freshman Byron Marshall (3rd string running back), walk-on Ayele Forde (4th string running back), walk-on Kenny Bassett (5th string running back), and Bryan Bennett (2nd string QB). I guess Jackson Rice qualifies as a starter, but he's the punter...

They used *some* starters in the first part of the 3rd quarter to make sure they didn't blow the lead, which is something every coach would do. If we want to talk about disrespectful, lets talk about ASU coach Todd Graham who called a timeout with 3 seconds left in the game to try to score another touchdown against Oregon's freshmen and walk ons when the game was clearly out of reach.

That's a good point, all the loser teams out there that still try to put up a fight should take a dose of their own medicine when the winning team decides they aren't ready to give up either. If you posture to try and win, then you deserve to take a licking for failing, you only have yourself to blame if you are the losing team. Any losing team that finds time to criticize the winner should spend more time trying to figure out how to win football games so they don't have to spend their time complaining.

I will go on record right now and say that if Oregon remains undefeated and ends up in the National Championship, they will not score more than 14 points against whichever SEC team they face.

I'll wager on that as much as you want! So will you PROMISE to take my bet for say $500 if you will stipulate your confidence for the record, or is your "for the record" statement weak in confidence?

Also to the comment above about KState making it over any 1 loss team, I'm stating for the record right now that I think 2 undefeated teams will make it to the championship game. There's just too unlikely of a chance that there will be a shortage of undefeated teams at this point.

If you have ONE loss, you are DONE as of now.

$500 is a bit steep for a college student like myself. That's more than a month of rent, homie.

Let me just say how much I love these stupid rankings.

Texas assuming they hang on to beat Baylor will be 5-2 this year. Their two losses this year were a 3 point loss at home to West Virginia who should probably drop out of the rankings after being outscored 104-28 in the last two games and a 44 point loss in a neutral site against #9 Oklahoma.

Wisconsin is now 6-2 and their two losses have been on the road against #8 Oregon State by 3 (and they should have had a chance to at least tie it if the refs weren't awful and took away an onside kick recovery) and on the road to at the time #22 Nebraska by 3 points, a game where they held a 17 point lead in the 2nd half.

Now I'm by no means saying Wisconsin's a great team or anything close to it but if you're going to have Texas ranked you almost have to have Wisconsin ranked too.

That's the beauty of the computers. They have no eyes.

BTW, Wisconsin was rather entertaining today. Watching White and Ball run rampant all day was great.

Ok how about $50, and we can bump the topic later if and when Oregon makes it? Sorry money I don't take very seriously, I'd wager my eternal soul if I thought the bet was statistically well in my favor. lol j/k
