USC #1 DRAFT STREAK!

"AUSTIN — For the first time since 1937, the NFL draft did not include a single member of the Texas Longhorns.
UT’s record 76-year streak ended Saturday when the Texans chose Memphis free safety Lonnie Ballentine with the 256th and final pick of this year’s draft, snubbing Jackson Jeffcoat, Mike Davis and all of the other Longhorns who waited in vain for three days to hear their names called.
With UT’s run over, the nation’s longest NFL draft streak now belongs to USC, which has had a player picked every year since 1939. Notre Dame has a string dating back to 1938, but it comes with an asterisk. No Fighting Irish player was picked in the 1977 draft, but Al Holden did get selected in the supplemental draft that year"
