General Week 1 NCAA Football chatter

Anybody able to catch any of the games tonight? I was watching my USU Aggies warm up for the season against FCS Weber State, so I wasn't able to watch any of the other games, but I just saw the score and watched highlights from that Tennessee-App State game. WHOA. I know some of the posters on here were pretty hugs on Tennessee, that must have been a surprise.

ASU had no business losing that. So many mistakes made, that has to hurt. I don't know if Tenessee should panic or not yet but they were outplayed.

It was awesome watching a full game on Twitter. It's going to be fun to see where all this goes. Imagine sponsors paying for us to watch games for free on Twitter. That's awesome.

I wish there were a few more meaningful games tonight, but I'll definitely be tuning into Colorado-Colorado State at least

Grandson has a game tonight so I won't be watching anything this evening other than High School football. Tomorrow though... absolute bliss!

Now that all the "warm up" games are over, I can't wait to bum around all day tomorrow and watch some good games. Starting at 10 AM with Houston-Oklahoma.

Unfortunately, one of my best friends (obviously not a college football fan), decided to schedule his damn wedding for the EXACT TIME that USC-Alabama game kicks off...thank the heavens for DVR.

Friends don't let friends have fall Saturday weddings.

I think Hawaii might play Michigan much closer than 41 points.

I don't know if I'd say much closer, but a 41 point spread is enormous for anyone. I expect for it to be around a 24 to 30 point win for Michigan.

Excited to see how my Buckeyes are this season, a lot of new faces. Will be interesting to see who can step up after the ridiculous talent that left in this past draft. Ohio State reloads not rebuilds, so I expect another great year.

On another note, Tennessee is a joke, once again proving the SEC is overrated so often. It's one thing to have a slow start, it's another to almost lost to Appy St.....

Appalachian State is an amazing FCS program, is an almost loss to them really that bad?

Actually, they're an FBS program now. I believe last year was their first FBS season. Last year App State finished in the Sun Belt Conference between Georgia Southern and Arkansas State, if Tennessee really is the National Championship contender team that they've been hyped up to be, they really shouldn't get taken to overtime in Knoxville against a Sun Belt team. I'm not about to write them off, cause crazier things have happened. But that is a really, really bad look for them (and for the SEC).
