When asked how Fascism starts, Bertrand Russell once said:

So many pumped UT fans here in Austin tailgating all day and that's the way it starts.

Well - the Irish made that look really easy.

I was a little surprised they scored that quickly. It will be nice if this is a good game. It really influences the feel around Austin too when they win a big game. I mean this city revolves around the Longhorns.

My in-laws live in Georgetown. I'm acutely aware of how EVERYTHING revolves around the Longhorns there. My father-in-law calls me to get Cowboys updates because the news there is so sparse.

He's not computer-literate. Not at all.

Yeah, sport radio is 95% Texas football, 4% Dallas Cowboys, and 1% UT basketball. That's it with maybe a hare of Spurs talk but only if they are in the WCF or Finals.

I'll be down there next month. I'm going to make an effort to find that 4%

That was absolutely crazy. Seems weird that the team that just scored gets the ball...but I guess the same happens for the other two point play.

Terrific defensive stand right there. Buechele has plenty of time on the clock when they get the ball back.

This is the craziest game of the weekend. I can't believe we are the only two talking about it.

I don't often see a game tied up at 44 in OT.

I live in Sherman... 16 miles from Whitewright. My oldest grandson played against Tyrone in high school. He's such a good kid. I'm no Longhorn fan but I am a Tyrone Swoopes fan.

Don't know how good UT is.
Don't know how good ND is.
I know UT is better than ND.

This was by far the best game of week 1. Gotta like that Charlie Strong gets a big win like this after working so hard to rebuild the program.
