Post#1 » by PhilipNelsonFan » Mon Jul 30, 2007 8:19 pm

This guy was the top-rated running back of the high school class, and that YouTube highlight tape is legendary.

LEGENDARY.

Seriously, that highlight video is even better than Noel Devine's.

He doesnt look big enough to run with regularity out of the backfield, would probably be better as a reciever.

It might just be the angles or whatever... but from what I can see... he has a very upright running style, combined with happy feet.

That doesn't particularly bode well for College or Pros....

He will be a slot WR at Michigan. Nothing more.

Yes, I'm sure thats all he will be. :banghead:

Michigan is known for having some great college RBs thanks to the strength of our OLs we've had. No one will know how good or bad this kid will be until he actually gets on the college field, I wouldn't expect him to be as good as he appears in HS, but I would be more suprised if he doesn't put up huge numbers in a Wolverines uniform.

:banghead: Wow if your are that out of touch with college football or football in general maybe you should keep your thoughts to yourself. I think your one of the most bias posters I've seen on these boards. Michigan has one of the best OLs in college football. When is the last time a running back hasn't had great success here? *Heres a hint, your going to be looking for a while* I'm not claiming he's going to be the best RB. I just said he'll put up good numbers, much like a ton of other RBs have done at Michigan, but for most its never translated into a long career in the NFL because they don't have the blocking like what they've gotten at Michigan. Now your claiming he'll be nothing more than a slot receiver. Where is this coming from? He looks sharp in everything you have seen or heard, and he don't play against little teams. So hate all you want on the kid, but I'm sure once Hart goes pro that this kid will do a fine job of taking his place in the Wolverines backfield.

Bias poster? Bias towards who and what?

I just don't think the kid will be that great at the next level. Some already have pointed out his upright running style as a concern. Also, MANY teams were recruiting him as a DB and not a RB. I just don't think he will be a great RB at that next level and see him in the slot for Michigan. I'm not the only person who feels this way.

There is nothing bias about me having an opinion.

Get over it.

Dont think he has an upright running style at all. The only reason i would question his playing rb would be his size. To me he's probably more a Tim Dwight or a Wes Welker type and those two have made and are making some serious NFL money.

I don't think he will make it to the NFL as a RB, but I think he will put up some big numbers at Michigan if he does play RB. I haven't read all the scouting on the kid, but what I have seen looks decent. Also a lot of RBs, great or just good, put up some big numbers in Michigans offense because they have great OL blocking and its pretty much a run run run offense. Only time will tell with this kid as to how great he may or may not be.

Not to be repetetive here but they should use him like Wes Welker. Have him returning punts, kicks, play in the slot. Dont see him smashing into the line for 30 carries a game.
