LSU looks overrated

Defensively they look like your typical bayou bengals but that o-line is going to get someone killed. By the way why would MSU keep throwing at that #16? (Steltz)

I think it's a compliment to LSU to say they are overrated if they win 45-0 in a road opener against an SEC foe. I don't care if it was MSU, that team has a pretty damn good defense and they just might upset one of South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama or Auburn this season. They definately will play them all into the 4th qtr since none are the powerhouse that LSU is; Tennessee is the only one that I could see blowing them out like LSU did.

The game would have been much closer if Henig hadn't lost the game by himself in the first half, he absolutely sucks. Their defense was fired up and was very impressive for most of the night. Eventually the turnovers piled up and it all snowballed on them, but I was impressed with both defenses in the game.

I'm not a fan of Matt Flynn at all, but I'll give him credit for not forcing things and simply running the offense and not trying to do too much. The offense wasn't going to show off everything they had offensively with all their loaded schedule so we'll see alot more in the coming weeks. One thing's for sure, that offense won't turn the ball over that much if Flynn doesn't force things with all the talent he has surrounding him, with their toughest games at home this season, you gotta like your chances if you're an LSU fan.

Trindon Holliday is a weapon but everytime he was on the field you knew what was coming. Either they were setting him up as a decoy for next week or they just don't know how to use him. Put the kid on a slant route and let him work in the open field!

Les Miles could make that offense more explosive with two simple moves...Ryan Perrilloux as the starting QB and giving Keiland Willams the **** ball. As the season goes on I think we'll see Hester as the FB and Williams as the HB which IMO is their most effective backfield tandem, but I doubt Flynn will be benched if healthy. He's a smart QB and won't play himself out of the starting spot. Anyway, with that defense, having a smart QB to run the offense and keep the chains moving is their best bet.

Can you really say that the Tigers are overrated? They looked very good against Mississippi State on Thrusday.

This is coming from the guy who thinks USC and the Pac-10 aren't overrated.

LSU vs. VaTech will be a great game, but with the way VaTech struggled with ECU today, I don't know how close game could be.

BTW, I too do think LSU is a bit overrated. I picked Florida to win the SEC again.

I agree with you about UCS being overrated...but the Pac-10 as a whole? The Pac-10 is the BCS conference that most sports writes don't even think exists...how could they be overrated when they are traditionally disrespected by the national media?

Well, I heard an "expert" today say he thinks the Pac-10 is better than the SEC.

I don't know if they will be #1 or not in the polls next week, but its possible with USC being idle. After watching LSU just have their way with VT tonight no one can say they are overrated anymore. LSU was just dominate the entire game, and saying VT was ranked too high may be true, but the fact is LSU still beat another top 10 team by over 40 points.

LSU looked unbeatable in crushing the Hokies. They completely dominated the LOS on both sides of the ball, and VT has NFL-caliber talent in those spots too. Enjoying the fruits of Nick Saban's unscrupulous recruiting efforts, no doubt.

The Tigers would be my #1 right now.
