The Trojans remain #1, as anticipated, plus they wrangle a few 1st place votes away from LSU.
Plenty of new additions to the Top 25: Bama rises from the unranked to #16 after defeating Arkansas, Kentucky is up to #21 after their thriller vs. Louisville, South Florida makes it to #23 and Mizzou breaks in at #25 (bout time).
UCLA drops like a rock (from #11 to the backyard), G.Tech falls from #15 to the outside, Arkansas goes from #16 to the unranked world and #22 Tennessee falls out of the Top 25.
-Gators jump the Sooners and go from 5 to 3.
-Wisconsin, after their less than stellar showing vs. The Citadel fall from 7 to 9.
-Biggest Gain in Top 25: BC from 21 to 14.
-Biggest Drop: Louisville from 9 to 18.

I'm so glad that Wisconsin is done with spread offenses for a while.

nice to see alabama move into the top 25 but for now they're too high they shouldnt be higher then 20 probably b/c they narrowly beat arkansas and got killed in the 2nd half on defense allowing 28 straight points in a little over a quarter.
still think oklahoma should be 3 b/c they gave no reason why they should move down.
and im not on the USC is overrated bandwagon but thought LSU should be #1. i wasnt shocked at all that they rolled over nebraska but i dont think they're good at all and wish i could bet on games b/c that wouldve been easy money.

USC could have barely notched a win this week, and they would still be number 1.
They aren't going to drop, until they lose.(when, not if

Glad to see Boston College flying up the polls.

I doubt they will drop even if they lose. I'm pretty sure that there are enough idiot Pete Carroll jock riders out there to keep their rating inflated. But that's a moot point anyway, at least for quite a while. I don't see them losing any of their next 5 games (WSU, UW, Stanford, Arizona and ND; 2 .500 teams and 3 doormats). Their only real challenges in conference are UO on Oct 27, OSU (maybe, but I have serious doubts right now...most likely a loss for OSU) the following week or Cal on Nov 10th. If USC loses 2 of those 3, which I think is a real possibility, then they MIGHT fall to a ranking that they deserve.

Nice to see Kentucky cracking the polls--they deserve it.
I still maintain LSU is the best team in the country. USC looked awful strong against Nebraska but IMO they have more exploitable flaws than LSU. And if Oklahoma keeps getting QB play like they have, they're better than USC too.
Buckeyes deservedly crack the top 10. That defense is downright scary-good.

SC haters should pick a week when they dont look like anything rather than a good team, this wasnt the week though, they were totally dominant out there against a pretty good Nebraska team. The trojans probably could have beaten a few of the pathetic NFL teams saturday(just kidding....sort of).

I really hope USC doesn't lose, because I want to see them get trounced int the NC by whoever makes it out of the SEC.
