Week 4 is yet another fantastic week in college football, as is every other week...

Thursday kicked the week of with Miami-#20 Texas A&M

There are two games this week that are top-25 match ups,

#12 South Carolina @ #2 Lousiana State

and!

#22 Georgia @ #16 Alabama

Georgia plays Bama. Should be a very exciting game. Or maybe a blow out if Georgia plays like they did against South Carolina. I like our defensive advantage over their slight offensive advantage, though.

And Knowshon Moreno is a monster. I predict he'll have a big game in the rushing and receiving departments.

well A&M proved once again that if you have any sort of speed on either side of the ball you can kick the **** outta them.

i get angered watching them play, its 2007, the option is only fun to watch if you're playing ncaa videogame. come into the 21st century now damnit. i hate teams that refuse to adapt partly b/c of tradition but that **** doesnt win now. nebraska finally realized it and are just now getting back to respectability. they also need to realize that once you're down 24-0 you need to throw the ball over 10 yards and if your running game hasnt worked so far why would it start now.

that said they probably have a top 5 running attack in the nation (maybe even 3rd behind WVU and Arkansas)

as for georgia/bama you're getting your ass kicked bulldogs (at least i hope) bama lucked out after blowing a big lead but its another home game so i hope they can bounce back. hopefully dj hall isnt hurt b/c he was a monster when he was in the game last week.

Martellus Bennett is quite large.

I find myself moreso rooting for Miami because of Randy Shannon, even though they'll do little to shed the criminal reputation. You could argue it's not needed, of course.

I'm actually kinda nervous this week for Wisconsin after last week's stumble and recovery vs. The Citadel.

They've got Iowa this week.

Conference play is finally upon us, at least almost everywhere.

The PSU-Michigan game should be interesting. Penn State has played what has to be the cakest non-conference schedule this side of Kansas St. in the late 90s. Has Michigan righted the ship yet, and with a freshman QB to boot?

East Carolina-WVU bears watching. The Pirates are better than most people think, and I'm hearing that there suddenly aren't enough footballs to go around in Morgantown despite a pretty good public show by Slaton and White.

Notre Dame gets its last legit shot at a win for another month, a home date with Michigan State. I think the Spartans are going to run right thru them. If everything I'm hearing out of South Bend is accurate (and it's from numerous informed sources), Charlie Weis is thisclose to completely losing his young team. He might have made a huge mistake in hitching his wagon to Claussen, whom most of the rest of the team clearly dislikes.

I wonder if Texas will play down to Rice the way they did to UCF.
I wonder if Purdue will crack the 60-point barrier against Minnesota
I wonder which rising Big Ten team wins between Illinois and Indiana
I wonder if UCLA can bounce back from getting pounded against a Washington team that got pounded themselves.
I wonder if people will stop hyping Colt Brennan so much when his replacement puts up very simliar numbers this week.

I'm not counting Iowa out after Wisconsin has had two subpar games in a row vs. UNLV and The Citadel.

As an Oregon fan, I'm going to be intently watching PSU-Michigan. If Michigan pulls off the upset (and I see no reason why they can't), does that legitimize Oregon? The Ducks have to go through Stanford, which shouldn't be easy by any stretch, but I'm looking forward to it.

UW fans are seriously believing (monkeyfeng, that means you), so I'd pick them over UCLA.

Oregon shouldn't worry about being legitimized this week. It won't matter if they get beat by California.

well, ben olsen ain't playing for ucla and the huskies pwned ucla last season. we have a good shot. i was a little bit disappointed that ucla fell out the top 25 rank... this game was on media watch but not anymore... sigh..

LSU pulls out a squeaker, 35-10

Louisville...how do you give up 38 points to Syracuse at home!?!?

10 minutes to go in the 4th, the Orange lead 38-21. The Syracuse offense is almost Notre Dame-esque and either the Orange or Duke have been the worst BCS school over the past few years. They're that bad.

Ball State with a 4th Q lead at Nebraksa. Simply baffling.

WVU laid the wood to ECU, and it was their defense that impressed me. They showed a lot more discipline and tenacity than they've been showing.

In that Louisville game I really lost respect for Steve Kragthorpe. There's no sense of urgency, no flow to their offense, no inspired fire by their defense in the face of a truly embarrassing loss.

Mario Urrutia has fallen another notch in my scouting book thanks to his classless penalty in crunch time.

Lot of wierd results going on right now in addition to the two mentioned.

Ole Miss executed a great gameplan against Florida, but they couldn't tackle Tebow on the run. If Ole Miss could have finished drives they would have won by 10 points.

After watching the Louisville game today, I have come to the conclusion that even Notre Dame could score 40 vs. that horrid defense.

Hey, ND has some semblence of a rushing attack today. Their first real drive of the season, went 80 yards mostly on the ground.

Our (ND) Secondary has decided to disappear again in the 2nd half.
