First off how does Va. Tech not make it to the national title game? they were #6 LSU was # 7 and as of right now it looks like LSU will make it to the national title game IMO LSU vs. Ohio State will be a TERRIBLE National Championship game
second Hawaii still gets undderated still they played a terrible schedule but its not their fault that most teams dont wanna play them they tried getting Michigan on their schedule but Michigan declined. This just shows the country is in ned of a playoff for college football.
P.S. if you didnt see the games
Sugar Bowl-GA vs Hawaii
National Championship LSU vs. Ohio St.
EDIT: sorry my bad didnt realize there was an Ncaa forum
Rose Bowl-USC vs. Illinois
Fiesta Bowl-WV vs. Oklahoma
Orange Bowl-VT vs. Kansas

True but look at Virginia Tech their 2 losses were to top 5 teams, LSU's 2 losses were to a top 10 team and an unranked team in all fairness though the SEC is the hardest division in college football but i still think Va. Tech deserved it more or even Georgia even though they didnt win the SEC I still believed they deserved it more than LSU but this year is as good an example as any that the FBS needs a playoff system who knows Hawaii might be able to beat any team but we will never know.

Still L's and not W's.
UGA beat Kentucky
Kentucky beat LSU
LSU beat Tenn
Tenn beat UGA
I don't like how LSU jumped from 7th too 2nd. However, it's Georgia's fault by falling to South Carolina early during the season.

You serious? You're actually using Tech losing 48-7 against LSU as a reason why they should be rated ahead of LSU? To say nothing of the fact that Tech's other loss was against a team that was only Top 5 until they got exposed. Might as well say that beating Michigan means you beat a Top 5 team.
But yeah among other things, the fact that LSU lost tough games that could have gone either way while Tech got absolutely embarassed in one game is a big thing for LSU, and the fact that it was LSU who did the embarassing ends all discussion.
In response to how LSU passed Tech up, I have some sympathy there. Voters have shown a clear tendency since the BCS started of switching their votes at the very end to make sure one team gets it over another. In their defense in this case, there was no reason for them to do it except a realization that they thought LSU had played the better season and they had only had Tech ahead before because LSU had *just* lost. There are worse things than voters paying close attention when they go to make their final ballot.

Yeah don't like the jump, but the reality is that the "7th" vote was ridiculous. They simply dropped LSU down below other 2 loss teams because they were blindly following the "better lose early" rule, then realized they'd made a mistake. In terms of corruption, this is nothing worth getting upset about compared to the Michigan drop last year (in which they clearly dropped who they thought was the better team to avoid a rematch - turned out Florida really was better, but that wasn't what they believed).

BCS a shipwreck of a system
So much for that claim about how every week in college football constitutes a one-game playoff. If you

But they're in the SEC. All teams in the SEC get the benefit of the doubt because they are, well, in the SEC. I thought everyone realized that.
