I am disappointed that there is no Orange Bowl thread yet.

I know some of my fellow Chiefs fans are Jayhawk fans so I will do a thread. Even if you are Nebraska or Missouri fans let's give the Jayhawk some support.

You guys are 0-1 against teams in the top 25. Very overrated.

Top 25 ? This season have been the most chaotic? Winning any game can't be taken for granted.

I still can't believe Kansas got in over Missouri. Missouri beat Kansas earlier in the year...meanwhile the BCS had LSU pass up Virginia Tech because LSU beat them earlier in the year. Hypocrites.

The Hokies are playing better than they have all season, finally finding the right balance between Glennon and Taylor at QB. No team has more INTs, and the Hokies have 3 legit corners who don't need safety help in coverage most of the time. Chris Ellis and Xavier Adibi are both 2nd-3rd round draft picks on the defensive front, and I would bet the VT back 7 is the fastest in the country.

Kansas spreads the ball around so well, and their underrated OL always keeps the throwing lanes open. Their defense has a very active front that specializes in getting off blocks and containing plays in space.

I really like the Hokies in this one, though I do think Kansas has enough firepower to make a game of it if they can take care of the ball and not get victimized by Beamer Ball special teams.

Just boycott this game. Please. The Orange Bowl Committee needs to be taught a lesson for putting together such an inferior matchup. What morons--anyone with their wits about them could have seen that Missouri was the team that deserved to be there.

God, I hate Kansas. Even when we beat their sorry asses, they STILL have a hand in screwing up our best seasons.

If there is any justice in the world, Virginia Tech will win about 56-0 and the only publicity the Orange Bowl gets will be from sportswriters naming it the worst bowl game ever.

I am not really a Kansas fan but a good friend of mine is.

I think Missouri needs to get over this snub or they will get pounded by Arkansas and any argument they had will be gone.

The "argument" is that Missouri (1) beat Kansas (2) won the Big 12 North (3) had the same regular-season record as Kansas, despite playing a tougher schedule, and (4) finished ahead of Kansas in the last BCS standings. I don't see how a game that has not been played yet could have any impact on our "argument." The Orange Bowl blew it, plain and simple.

Besides, I've already abandoned all hope that we're going to win the Cotton Bowl, the ESPN crew said we don't have a chance. 8)

Both of these teams are terrible.

I don't buy this "Virginia Tech is playing well" crap because yeah they are playing well but it's against a confrence that is on par with the MAC or WAC.

Your top team in the ACC that VT dethroned didn't do anything impressive all year(BC).

The next team down (Virginia) had a heck of a game getting it handed to them by Wyoming.

Yeah, all of that was to start the season(including the blowout loss for VT to LSU) but the ACC was just a big pile of mediocrity.

ps- This is coming from a Big Ten fan who will agree that the Big 10 was almost as bad...just a very very slight notch above the crappy ACC.
(My team, Wisconsin, was about as disappointing as you can get for the hype there was for them on defense. I understood the offensive struggles from starting a high school JV quarterback and the 3rd or 4th best RB on the team because he put up big numbers behind a great line the year before)

Va. Tech definitely isn't terrible. They aren't a great team, but they deserve a BCS bid. Kansas on the other hand...

v-tech had the 2nd best defense in the nation, no way are they terrible....kansas's offensive is good so this should be a good game.
