Why am I not surprised IbreakNeckZ101 made a thread comparing Latroy Hawkins to Derek Lee.

He hates Derrek Lee because the Marlins beat the Cubs in '03!

END OF STORY!

Also funny is that Lee is hitting .345 with RISP and has far and away among the best "clutch" stats of any player on the team.

I also saw somewhere that 6 of his 12 homers have given the Cubs the lead.

Here are all of his "clutch" stats:

So the whole premise of this thread is flawed and goes back to my original point that you fail as a fan.

Yeah, out of his slump. Going the other way with that ball. Reyes wasn't coming in so Derrek slapped it the other way.

Derek needs to hit as good the opposite field as he does pulling the ball then we'll be on our way up.

I agree he has been playing like s*** as of late.
That double play in the 9th with him walking down the line was just pathetic.

This has nothing to do with me being sensitive, and everything to do with me calling you out for being the fake ass fan you are.

I'll admit that he left some things to be desired last night, granted he did still have the game winning hit/RBI AND since you made this POS thread he's hit for his average at .318, so he's really not playing that bad.

The difference between me and you is that I'm a supportive fan, while you seek out every opportunity to bad mouth any and every player to the fullest extent.

You still fail tremendously as fan. And it continues.

You fail as a fan because you spend more time badmouthing them than you do supporting and applauding them.

breakneck reminds me of a lot of the older cats I meet at the wrigleyville bars. A lot of these guys have been Cub fans for 30+ years, so they're really frustrated.

Pessimistic is something that comes along with being a Cub fan.

you're only here about twice a week that's why you never see me applauding them.. i can be over excessive at times but that's out of frustration.

looks like this thread is completely wrong eyyy? i mean dlee is hitting .360 w/ risp.... and he did just hit a home run that was kind of important right?

Good to have him back to normal. Hopefully Soriano heats up and Ramirez stops yelling about the strike zone.
