How does the Rodriguez hire affect Ryan Mallett?

Now that Terrelle Pryor has added Michigan to his list do any of you think there is a chance Mallett may transfer. He really isn't a great fit at all in the spread and if Michigan gets Pryor I can't see Mallett as the better option to start. Thoughts?

Definitely affects him. Probably looking over all of his options right now.
Wonder if he transfers to Texas, or Nebraska. I remember the rumors going around that he had considered going back home, and was looking for a way out of Michigan ... but who knows.

I bet Mallett does take a hard look at transferring but if you're banking on Pryor coming to Michigan you've got another thing coming. The recruiting battle for that kid is going to be fierce.

yeah, i agree there is gonna be a huge battle for pryor.
btw, i think mallet should go to texas tech if mike leach stays...there he can put his nfl caliber arm to test, and imagine him throwing passes to michael crabtree

Mallett should go to Duke. It's as good of a school as Michigan and they just got a high-profile offensive mind in to coach them. If he went there it wouldn't be long before Duke became a .500 team, and then a conference contender.

I agree PNF. Cutcliffe is one of the best people in the nation in terms of developing QB's. If he got a talent like Mallet, Duke would be compeititive for a few years at least. And Mallet could get an offense tailored around him.
