Not sure why VaTech is in all caps. Boise State and TCU make their annual appearances in the Top 25, and Vandy gets some love from the voters. How long has it been since the Commodores have seen a ranking?

How is this even a question?

why anyone is #2 is beyond me. some even have first place votes, what a load.
as of today, no one should even be invited to a national championship game vs. USC. we are on our own level. so it should read . . .
1. USC
2. will be notified when a worthy opponent is found
3. etc . . .

According to lakeshow, Reggie Bush calmed Hurricane Katrina, repaired the Superdome and carried the Saints to the NFCCG. He also believes OJ is innocent and Leinart is going to the Pro Bowl this year.

The fact that the OJ comment is the only one you object to says enough.
And let's see if OJ has the magic this time.

I wonder how he will feel when USC loses to Oregon State again next week.

ECU is still ranked after that loss? If it was NCAA 09 they would be unranked. lol

It was a nice start for ECU, but they were very over rated.
They'll finish 8-4.

How does Philip Fulmer keep his job at Tennessee? Not even John Cooper could get owned by a rival so badly for so long

I'll agree with Lakeshow if USC covers the spread in every Pac-10 game. Which they won't.
Real bad break for Ball State, which had a shot at making the Top 25 in another couple of weeks. They lost star WR Devin Love, one of the most exciting deep threat WR in CFB, to a nasty neck injury that has ended his career. I still like them to win the MAC, and that should sneak them into the 25 spot in the manner that TCU is ranked.
I'm starting my campaigning now: the winner of the Utah/BYU game deserves a shot at the national title
IF there is only one other undefeated team. The MWC is better than the Pac 10 and maybe the Big 10 this year.
My personal SEC ratings:
1. LSU, because of their defense
2. Georgia
3. Florida
4. Alabama, very quietly blowing teams away
5. Auburn, but they'd still win every other BCS conference except the Big 12 or USC
6. Miss State, started too slow to do much but IMO they are better than they've shown
7. Vanderbilt
8. Kentucky. Play an actual team already
9. South Carolina, which would finish no worse than 3rd in the ACC or Pac 10
10. Tennessee, but Arian Foster is a stud
Anxiously awaiting the Wake/Clemson game; the winner belongs in the top 10 and no other ACC school deserves to be ranked above 20 at any point the rest of the season
Mizzou and Oklahoma could very realistically be #2 and #3 if/when they meet in the Big 12 Title game

so though OU will be ranked higher then every SEC the whole season if they run the table will they get the shaft outta the title game or will the SEC be the one on the outside looking in? given there recent struggle in bowl games id have to think if there are 3 bcs teams they'll get the shaft. and though i like OU im hoping for 4 undefeated teams, though it will likely not change anything, it's fun to see f*ckups and bring up the problems with the system for the 100 straight year.
btw icness, ive always wondered how competitive a conference it could be if u combined the best of the WAC, MWC and maybe C-USA (though that may spread out the conference to far) but how legit a bcs conference could that be?

This implies the existence of an offense, which is not present. South Carolina, in the Pac-10, would finish no higher than 7th. I don't see any way they beat Cal, Oregon State, even Arizona. UCLA is a crapshoot, but we saw what they did to a Tennessee team that most SEC fans still believe is top-25 caliber.
