this is a boatload. we should be ranked #2 at least. none of those teams are good enough to compete with USC.

USC should be thankful they're as high as they are. You better start praying for a lot of teams to fall and some Pac-1 teams to pick it up because that's the only chance USC has at the NC. In a just world anyway.

Re: BCS Standings
is not virginia, with a victory against NORTH CAROLINA, on their way to an ACC title game? and outright ACC championship? is not ohio state having a very powerful defensive unit, on their way to defeating a supposed #3 team in the nation? we dont need anyone to lose. we dont need the pac-10. WE ARE USC DAMN IT! and we by virtue of our top notch non-conference scheduling and talent, should be placed HIGHER than 5TH!

As much as everyone is going to shoot the messenger, Lakeshow just might be onto something (no offense dude!).
Say Ohio State beats PSU, which I think they will with Pryor and Wells, not to mention Laurinaitis coming off one of the most dominant LB performances I've ever seen. That removes PSU from the equation, and the Buckeyes are not going to leap over USC no matter the Big Ten's relative strength to the Pac10.
One of Texas and Oklahoma is going to lose, perhaps both. Just looking at the points, Texas could afford a loss and still make it if they win the Big 12 championship game. TTU and OSU would have to be undefeated to pass USC, and they play each other in a couple of weeks. OSU plays Texas next week, and TTU plays Kansas, Texas, OSU, and Oklahoma in the next four weeks. Assume at least one loss, and if they run it then they are the Big 12 BCS rep and nobody else will have the points on USC.
I'm not convinced Bama will run the table either but the SEC might be good enough for them to have one loss and still finish ahead of USC. That presumes that USC runs the table, of course...

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

They're going to have to see a lot of teams lose or the Pac-1 is going to have to hit a hot streak like I said. Looking at the teams right now, there are several teams that would be more deserving if they won out and a couple that could afford another loss. USC is lucky they got their loss out of the way early, though. But being the only ranked team in the Pac-1 doesn't help.

Re: BCS Standings
i wouldnt say " a lot". most of the teams in front of USC is from either sec or big 12 and they are going to play each other and essentially only one team from each of these conference will have a shot at national championship game since BCS wont put any team in the big game if they dont win their conference. so all USC needs to wait for OSU to beat PSU and and either one of sec or big 12 champion to have 2 losses assuming they run the table. and both situations are very probable.
OSU s situation is pretty much the same but we also have to wait for USC to lose another game.

I completely disagree. You should be lucky that you are even in the top 5 of the polls. You guys lost to Oregon St. Dont get me wrong, you guys have the talent, and yall beat a good team in Ohio St., but to say you guys are better than Alabama and Texas is completely out of line. It's only one way to find out though.
Im calling it!
Alabama vs UT in the NC game.

Re: BCS Standings
and i'm going to call this one . . . and it should service notice to the country . . . VIRGINIA IS GOING TO THE ACC TITLE GAME!! didnt say they would win it, i need to consult my crystal ball for a few more weeks, BUT THEY WILL PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN EITHER CHAMPION OR RUNNER UP IN THAT CONFERENCE. if they win it. and if ohio states wins theirs. name a team in the country with that type of resume' of a big10 conference champion(ohio state) and an acc conference champion virginia? (very high possibility with virginias defeat of north carolina)
we went through that scenario before, and everyone laughed at us for defeating arkansas, due to us slapping 50 pts on that team . . . but hey, arkansas went to the SEC title game and was SEC runner up that year.

Not.
Basketball is driven by three principles:
1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
