I'll start by saying I don't have a problem with this, but I am curious of how Fl was ahead of Texas in AP, Harris, and Coaches poll, yet managed to be behind Texas in BCS. I don't get it....

even though i dont think they would beat PSU in a head to head, i would put Utah ahead of them right now. utah got lucky against solid TCU team but win is a win. both deserve to be in top 10 though.

pollsters got it wrong, texas should be over florida. texas' loss is to #2 team in the nation while florida loss is to miss st. and their best wins are comparable. doesnt matter for florida though, they run the table, they are in.

ball st deserves to be in top 10 as much as boise st. i wouldnt put either of them in top 15, but no reason to separate the two.

unless something freakish happens, it looks like SEC and Big12 champs will play for national championship. SEC is pretty straightforward but it is likely there will be a 3 way tie in big 12 south and i doubt anybody knows how to break it.

I don't know how they will break the 3 way tie either without screwing someone else.

Assume, Okla beats T Tech. Then how do you do it? They all have the same conference record. Okla should be ahead of Tech since they beat them right? But not ahead of Texas since they lost to texas. So
Texas
Okla
Tech

Not so fast, Tech beat Texas, so they for sure can't be behind Texas, so:
Tech
Texas
Okla.

Wait, didn't Oklahoma beat Tech? So it should go:
Oklahoma
Tech
Texas

WTF? How do you decipher this madness?

SEC will be easy, whoever wins the SEC championship game gets to go to the big game.

You bet your ass that the BCS idiots are pulling for Tech to run the table so that they don't have to explain themselves on a 3 way tie. Don't let it happen Sooners. expose this stupid system and give life to the playoffs arguement

before it comes to BCS, Big 12 idiots need to figure out who to put in their conference championship game.

Same could be said about USC then. USC lost to Oregon State, a team Penn State beat. If USC is there, PSU deserves to be there as well.

Anyway, how is LSU still in the top 20?

They get destroyed in 2 out of their 3 losses. Their only good win is against an average Auburn team and it was by 5 points.

I think we already have it locked up. It should be Texas Tech vs Missouri, but you will never know what happen. And I would love to see that matchup. Harrell vs Daniels and Crabtree vs Maclin would be awesome.

I agree. Move some teams from big 12 south division to Missouri's division. Even things a bit

drop the HATERade son, we would spank penn state by 59, and that would be at halftime.

I'm not "hating" on USC. I'm just bringing up a valid point. Did I ever say PSU would beat USC?

i was talking hypothetical scenario where tech loses to oklahoma and every team finishes with one loss. of course it is lot clear if tech runs the table.

lake, there isnt a nfl team that could score 59 points on PSU defense

ah crap, it doesnt even matter. it actually wouldve been nice to have penn state jump the party with all of the overrated sec and big12 teams all up there. everyone up there could have 2 losses, and these punk voters would still place us behind them.

our defense is #1 in the nation.

texas tech has some gimmick offense, and we'll order up one #58 blitz up the middle, and we smash the passing game immediately.

Any year besides this one I would root for a BCS matchup between Ball St. and Cincinnati. How stoked would that bowl committee be to get that ticket. If both Boise and Utah lose it could be a possibility. I sure hope the Utes go undefeated though.

How are these teams overrated? Fl has been just as impressive(and more) than USC while beating tougher competition. The Big 12 teams have all played a much tougher schedule than USC....I don't see your logic? USC could very well be the best team, but there is no clear evidence stating that they are, as a matter of fact, the evidence indicates they are not.

As a Gator fan, I'm dying to get a piece of USC, if they beat us, that is fine. But I want them. They always get all of the media attention and love. I'd love to have a piece of USC, but doesn't look like they'll be able to climb high enough, so I will enjoy a match up with a deserving Big 12 team.

By the way, the overrated SEC has won 3 national championships this decade. Could be 4 in early 2009.

The overrated Big 12 Texas team beat USC in the Rose Bowl which is pretty much homefield advantage for USC.

you wanna piece of USC??
that must be a joke, because we smoke those teams in the sec on a regular basis.

heck, didnt you guys send a team to the SEC championship game recently? we slapped 70 and 50pts on that team. those teams absolutely have no chance when they play us, and they know it. the proof is there. the score is there. and the talent and speed on our team is 2nd to none!

i think however, that would be a great scenario.

oklahoma loses to tech.
moves USC to 5.

alabama defeats florida in sec title game.
moves USC to 4.

tech loses to missouri in big12 title game
moves USC to 3.

alabama vs. USC in national title game.

texas by virtue of not winning their conference would not make it, and besides, how would they jump a team they lost to in texas tech.

Just think, Oregon State controls the Trojan destiny.....or rather, "destination"..... LOL.
