In a Pickle

Post#1 » by chibearsfan » Wed Aug 6, 2008 7:09 pm

I'm in a little pickle:

I'm in a standard yahoo league, and I'm not sure who take between Steven Jackson or Frank Gore.

Jackson would be the obvious choice, but with his holdout, I don't really want to take that chance. Gore is not as good IMO, but he is a safer bet in terms of being in camp.

Who would you take? Should I consider trading down and trying grabbing one of the two a couple slots lower. Keep in mind, Ryan Grant and LJ are still on the board along with Wayne, TO, and
Brees. Maybe I could target them if I trade down.

Thanks.

Jackson easily..

Gore has one of the NFL's hardest schedules for a running back, combine that with the 49ers inept offensive line, and offense in general, Jackson is the guy to go with.

Jackson is a top 5 pick in every draft, Gore is an 8-10(overvalued) pick....

I'd go Jackson. Both were hurt last season, but it's going to be tough running for Gore with Alex Smith at the helm. Whereas, I expect Bulger to rebound from a poor season.
