DeAngelo Williams or Ryan Mathews?

Hello,

I am in a keeper league and I have the first and 3rd picks (only kept one guy, and someone else only kept 2 and then the snake draft starts up after that)

I will be able to take 2 of DeAngelo Williams, Ryan Mathews, Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall. Shone Greene is there too, but I am not a fan.

Since it is a keeper league Mathews to me seems like the smarter pick. The guy drafting the pick after me would most likely take DeAngelo or Calvin Johnson so I have to have some strategy on who I take first.

I am leaning toward Ryan Mathews based on what I think he can do with the touches that LT was getting. So I would then take Calvin Johnson first, then Mathews.

I finished 3rd last year so I don't draft again for 10 picks.

Thoughts?

My keeper is A Peterson.

D-Will all day. Ryan Mathews has way too much to prove and people are ranking him way to high. It's really ridiculous especially for a rookie who wasn't really a top of the line guy in the draft. San Diego has all kinds of problems this year and putting all their eggs into a basket with Mathews is not the way to go. Why take the rookie over DWill ? Williams is on a run first team and even though he splits his carries he is going gain over 1000 yards. Ryan Matthews has proved nothing and is not a better choice than Williams

I disagree. Williams doesn't score TD's, he didnt score in the 2nd half of the year last season. He doesnt get the ball at the goal line. J. Stewart is better and is the goal line back.

I'd take Matthews. I'm buying the hype on him similar to the hype on Purple Jesus his rookie season, who I reached on in the 2nd round that year and won my big money league thank you very much... :lol:

Only because you said Keeper league I'd take Mathews.....otherwise Deangelo!
