Is it a good time to sell high for Matt Forte or LeSean McCoy? Couple lucky weeks, or the real deal this year? I've been high on Matt Forte since before the draft. Seemed like everyone overlooked him. However, I realize that most of his value is coming from his pass catching. Also, both he and McCoy have brutal playoff matchups.
This is a PPR league for me, and they have been gold so far. Someone has asked me if I wanted Andre Johnson, and was interested in doing a 2 for 2. A WR/RB for WR/RB. The thing is, I really like my receivers as is, with both Miles Austin and Reggie Wayne tearing it up early. Right now, I really like my lineup. I pretty much never have to worry about my WR matchup, and I have 4 solid RBs that I can rotate depending on the matchup, health, and how they're playing.
But my WR depth is slightly thin, with Mike Wallace and Jacoby Jones on the bench. I might have some trouble during 2 of the bye weeks, but I don't want to put too much stock in that, because it's such a small portion of the season. But I also don't want to be like our division winner from last year, who killed everyone during the regular season, and flopped in the playoffs because of some bad matchups.
I'm 2-0 right now, and I don't want to fix something that's not broken. But I also envision Forte, McCoy, and even Cutler having some problems in the playoffs. So I'm exploring some opportunities to buy low and sell high, and position myself for the long run without sacrificing my team's balance too much. I feel like the smartest thing to do for me would be to turn one of my RB's into another WR, so on any given week I could either play 3 RBs or 3 WRs.
My Team:
QB Cutler, Sanchez, Gerard
RB McCoy, Forte, Jamaal Charles, Ricky Williams, Forsett
WR Wayne, Austin, MWallace, JJones
His Team:
QB Palmer
RB Shonn Greene, Ronnie Brown, JStewart, BJacobs, Felix Jones
WR Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald, Dez Bryant,
He's going to ask for one of Wayne or Austin, in addition to one of Forte or McCoy. I'm not seeing many combinations that I like, but I am always willing to get creative. I don't like to make anyone untouchable, as I feel like there's always something out there than can make me better. So with his team, the best packages I could come up with are this:
1) Forte/Austin for Johnson/Brown
2) Forte/Wallace for Fitzgerald/Stewart
Truthfully, I'm leaning towards staying put for now, playing 2WRs and 3RBs every week. This way, there's no confusion about which two WRs to play, and most weeks someone from Forte, McCoy, Charles, and Williams, will come up big. Any input, guys?

Re: Time to sell high?
I trade Forte for Roddy White, cause my WR are so crappy but my RB was already loaded, its only a 6 team league that is why I have Rice/Ap/Foster, I traded for AP and picked up foster
