Captain Erv's Thoughts: Coming off a less than impressive roadtrip the Crew will look to rebound against a struggling Twins team without Joe Mauer. A three game sweep would get us back to 14 over before heading out to the West Coast, but I will gladly take two outta three. The good news is that we will miss Johan so our chances should be pretty good. Advice for Ned, if you play Weeks, drop him to 7th or 8th in the lineup for awhile!

Twins just got swept by Detroit. Now is the time to jump on them. Molitor bobblehead night. I'll be at my third game of the season.

High of 70 tomorrow, I expect the roof to be OPEN.

I seriously doubt Counsell will lead off unless I am missing something with weeks being out. Twins are really struggling, let's not be the team to set them back on track. Let's get a winning streak going here.

They said Weeks might get a few games off because he has a sore wrist and also because he is struggling. If Gywnn isn't in the lineup Counsell is the next best bet.

kind of off topic, but if any of you guys that get the chance to go to these games aren't into the bobbleheads, let me know. I might be interested in them if the price is right ;). I have a nice collection of about 200 and counting in my basement.

I think you mean Cleveland. :)

Good news, Johan Santana pitched today so we won't have to worry about him this series.

Yeah I meant Cleveland. 8)

Fridays are also autograph nights. Six players will be signing at various down by the field. The lines get long quickly, especially for a "name" player.

Oh, so they are blaming his lack of hitting on the sore wrist eh?

The talk last night is that the wrist still isn't 100% from last year. Whether that's true or an easy excuse remains to be seen. I'm not relishing a few games with the duo of Graffy/Counsel in the lineup.

I had no idea that the Twins were 18-22.

It seems like they start slow every year...and then explode in June/July and make a run at the playoffs.

But at least this year they won't be getting Francisco Liriano up.

Sweet. He has a .400 OBP versus righties as a Brewer.

Good thing you don't play for us Jeff, our 3rd basemen take a month to drive in 3 runs. *sigh*

It is rather odd how Cirillo struggles everywhere but Milwaukee (spare that one Rockies year).
